Not sure why there are so many negative reviews. The bottom board is a different color ... it shows that in the pictures... toys used to be made with this same material all the time. My kido loves his train house without bias. We've talked about being extra careful about the little "houses" on top ... otherwise they could pop off but if they do we will just hot glue them back. He is 6 though so I'm sure it will be OK.... perhaps a bigger problem if your kido is younger and wants to pick the whole structure up by them.. then I could definitely see them braking off. We are very happy... even more so to save $40 or so odd dollars off of the other more expensive one still being able to get our kido a train house.

Loved the concept of this train station. We have prior Brio pieces that i wished to use with this. I fond the the connection where these two pieces meet are slightly off in matching height. This may not be a problem for a 4 or 5 year old but for a 3 year old it makes it difficult for them to zoom into the train garage. Not to sure if this problem occurs with other wooden train roads or just the Brio brand

I purchased this for my child's third birthday and I was overwhelmed with memories and joy when I saw the craftsmanship that went into this! It's very well made, it's absolutely beautiful. It sparks so much play and imagination in my kids! I love watching them play with it.

This company makes great wooden train products. This one arrived broken, twice. I'm going to glue it back together. These train depot's are usually so expensive that it's hard to complain. But they could be designed to survive shipping better.

My 3 year old grandson loves everything about Thomas the Train. I bought him this train track garage to go with his set and he loves it! I gave it to him about a week ago and he has been playing with it every day, numerous times through out the day. He loves that the trains have somewhere to park overnight and eagerly takes them out in the morning and starts playing with them! The garage is very sturdy and well made. It looks great and I would recommend this for anyone that is a Thomas the Train fan!
