Beautifully crafted product. I really appreciate the extra ball winder belt and crochet hook. Needed assembly instructions included with package. I found videos on YouTube, but would have preferred maker instructions to guide assembly.

There were no instructions, but it was very easy to put together. It came with a little bottle of some sort of lube, which I believe is needed for the metal parts that make it spin, as they were a bit squeaky when I first used it. It makes the yarn balls super fast, and it looks like the perfect size to use paper towel or toilet paper rolls as an inner support for the yarn.

Ordered this as a gift to my wife who selected it because she thought it was a mom and pop business /product..turns out that was incorrect. Package arrived safe but it appears either the wrapping was put on when the pieces were still drying or the item got overheated in transport as the varnish came off on the bubblewrapping.No instructions either, btw.

My expectations were far exceeded! The wood on this yarn and ball winder is fine-furniture quality worthy of display. Assembly was very easy. It is very sturdy. It works smoothly and quickly. My favorite yarn is hand dyed and comes in hanks. I had four giant knots and decided I needed winder. This winder has saved the other hanks and there may be hope for my knots! I am happy I did not buy a plastic one. This wooden winder is just too special.

I have owned this product for a few years now and at first it worked great. Now I have nothing but problems. First - there are no gears with teeth to keep the main part (what the yarn wraps around) from shifting should you encounter a knot or if you happen to hold the yarn too tightly. If this happens, the yarn slips down and winds up getting twisted around the base causing you to have to deal with untangling a hot mess. Second - if there is even the slightest bit of static the yarn will not cake up nicely. I spent more time being frustrated and just quit using it.I think I will just bite the bullet and get a Stanwood. The reviews are positively glowing.

I received both the spinner and the ball winder a few weeks ago. Unfortunately, one of the parts wasn't milled properly I couldn't assemble it properly. I contacted Mohd at the company and he promptly shipped replacement parts. I am delighted with the products. They are beautiful and work perfectly now. I'm looking forward to years of happy knitting with them.
