This faucet will not rupture from freezing when the valve is shut off & The hose is removed. The model 17 contains an integral backflow protection device which protectsup to 125 PSI of back pressure & therefore does not require & add-on vacuum breaker. P inlet combination 1/2” female pipe thread 3/4” Male pipe thread.

Some genius at Woodford thought it was a great idea to put a PLASTIC vacuum breaker on this brass spigot. So, of course, the plastic BREAKS as expected and, although they sell vacuum breaker repair kits, you need to buy a WHOLE NEW SPIGOT because the plastic is low-quality crap that breaks upon installation!!But, hey, Woodford got to sell me another $40 spigot so I'm sure their profit margins don't care about the crap quality!
