It was hard to see how the mechanism worked, but I stuck the wire in there and it grabbed it tight. Worked like a charm. I will start using these all the time.

This is what I've been looking for. Most of not all connections for the layout are under the table, so you can't bring the solder iron under the table. Its easy to make changes down the road.

I used these on my Christmas tree O gauge train layout for buildings and lights wiring connections. Easy connecting and un-connecting at end of season. I was using with 12v AC.
