This has more of a fir kind of scent, softer than pine. For me - I prefer that softer scent, although I wish there were more of it.Not my favorite, but I'm going to be in love with it this dark winter in my bath. A solid four stars.

I have some other candles by Fissiworx, and they have all been great. This does have a woodsy scent which I really like. The jars are very attractive, too. And they have all burned evenly so far.

I grabbed the woody set for the transition to fall, so full disclosure my review is based on candles not yet burned....but I do not burn them usually, I prefer the lamps, so issues I read with others having trouble burning will not be an issue for me since the lamps melt them. My daughter burns them, so we plan to melt them with apple candles burning alongside them. I like that they smell pleasant before melting, I like that they have crystals inside, and I don't mind they are labeled as orde-eliminating, as we have three dogs. 40% off now with coupon. SHould maybe test melt and stock up, I want those healing crystals LOL

Fissiworx scented soybean candles are consistently among my favorite scented candles for sale on Amazon. The candles burn slowly and consistently. There is an above average amount of (high quality) fragrance that never becomes overwhelming. These candle work well to remove odors from the air.
This particular package contains 2 amber glass jars with 7.6 oz each of wax. That should give you 110-120 hours of burn time, making this bundle pack a good bargain. The "woody" scent is earthy and oaky, and sufficiently strong without being overwhelming.
I would encourage anyone who burns soybean wax scented candles regularly (wax inside of jars) to also invest in a candle warmer. Soybean wax converts to a liquid at a lower temperature than oil-based paraffin or beeswax. You can “fix” soybean oil candles that have developed pits in the middle by using the candle warmer for 10-15 minutes to melt the pitted portion of the candle, and allowing it to cool before trimming the wick. This will lengthen the burn time of the candle dramatically.
On the other side of the coin, I would caution against using a candle warmer for the full burn of a scented soybean wax candle. Alternate between live flame and candle warmer. Soybean “wax” is basically highly hydrogenated soybean oil. The essential oils providing the scent burn off quickly when using a warmer, but the soybean wax doesn’t burn off like it does with a flame. After 10-20 hours of heating up that top layer of soybean wax over and over with a warmer, the fragrant oils in the first inch or so of the candle have been exhausted, and the wax starts to turn rancid from overheating, not unlike using the same pot of cooking oil over and over for deep frying.

As you can see from the photo, the label is upside-down, which, while not the most important thing in a candle, suggests that presentation isn’t important, either. If I received the same quality of product that anyone else would, expect half of your order to look a bit odd sitting out displayed like this. As a gift, this would also be an issue. I have no idea why anyone would send it for review like this. That being said, the scent is not unpleasant, and it seems to burn cleanly. It’s got a light scent and reminds me a bit of quality soap.
