Works great if you’re working on a 2D needle felting project that is approximately 8x10in. The foam is sturdy. U use it everyday and haven’t had any problems. Just felt shallow like you’re supposed to and this foam will hold up great. I’ve been using mine daily for over a year and it still looks great.

Purchased for my daughter to use for felting. She says it is great for 2d and 3d felting. Much better then the wool mat we tried. Doesn't break needles, recommended.

This foam is a thick, dense foam and large enough to sit on your lap comfortably and safely. Haven't used it for very long (new at needle felting), but for the price and quality, it more than meets my needs.

I had high hopes for this mat based on the reviews however, I am very disappointed because it is already falling apart and has lost its density and I have only used it for 6 projects.

Someone else also mentioned this but the foam attaches to your wool and it’s tough to get out. I wouldn’t recommend this product at all

Sturdy foam pad. My son started purposefully jabbing holes in it with the felting needle, and it is still fine aside from a divot here and there. The larger size is good for increased margin of error when felting with kids. (So they don’t poke themselves.)

This is large enough for me to learn to felt on. The book said to put my needle in my felting pad when I'm felting but not using the needle so it doesn't get bent or broken, and this pad is great for that.I didn't put my box away by accident the other day and when I found it the kittens had given the dog roving and petitely chewed the corner. So please keep it away from animals and children of just about all ages.

This works so well. It's a good size, good texture, and I can see it lasting for many projects. My only complain (which would be digging for one) is that the fibers of my project having been embedding themselves in the foam. At that point, snipping the exposed is the solution. Don't forget to pick up a lint roller because it will collect all fibers (thread, wool, etc) but that's a good sign that it'll hold your project in place.
