Just painted my entire house for the first time. All the walls had knockdown texture. I initially started with an el-cheapo 1/2" microfiber roller that on Amazon 6/$10. Noticed it wasn't getting into the nooks and crannies very well so I bought this 3/4" roller thinking it would solve my problems. Nope. It did no better than the 1/2" and even worse, it soaked up way more paint to get to an adequate "wetness" yet it applied very dry on the wall. Now, someone who does this for a living and has an unless supply of 5 gallon paint buckets to go thru on the company's dime will tell you I'm doing it wrong. Good paint aint cheap so for a novice, someone who wants to repaint their home over a weekend, who is walking into the local Benjamin Moore store and paying $80 a gallon at retail and wants to make the paint stretch, this roller did me no favors and went thru a lot of paint and didn't perform any better than the no name 1/2" roller.

Painted cement siding that has a wood grain type surface . Gets paint into the simulated wood grain indentations but left a texture on the smooth surface. I will use a thinner nap next time and just roll more to avoid the textured look . After looking into it I found out that thicker naps will leave a texture on smooth surfaces . Other than that it did its job . I just picked the wrong product for the job .

Used this on a poured concrete foundation. One pass was all it took to cover. Much easier to use on a rough surface than the typical roller repacements,

Wooster products are always high quality & the 3/4 inch nap is great for painting rough surfaces & surfaces that have depressions & grooves, like 6-panel doors, tongue in groove boards, siding, brick/stone etc.
