I work outside, and I enjoyed the cooling system from this vest as a definite surprise underneath my uniform shirt. The fan blows air outward as well, so covering the vest with my uniform shirt worked quite well to capture the air inside with my shirt tucked into my pants. Other than covering the vest and tucking my shirt into my pants, I do not see how I could have enjoyed it so much because the fan was blowing air outward, even though I felt a little bit of air inward.

There are 2 fans built into the vest. I think black is a poor choice in color as it absorbs heat - tan would make more sense. I didn't add a photo because I look like an Oompa-loompa in this thing. When the fans are on, the vest blows up a bit - like a balloon. Thankfully I live on a farm and have no neighbors so I don't have to worry about people seeing me in this as I garden. It definitely does help. And it's great if you're not worried about the aesthetics. I mean, Oompa-loompas are cute!

I was really excited at the concept and at full intensity it really makes an impact but it is also counter effective in a major way. Winding up into a roasting Summer, tend to wear tank tops and thin strapped camisoles, unfortunately the material is scratchy and irritating to me, so wearing a full t-shirt or putting a layer of fabric makes it a bit counter productive.

The fan is a bit noisy however, when it is hot and humid, this is a godsend. My husband absolutely loves it. Instructions could be a bit more detailed. especially regarding where to put the battery. There is a velcro closure pocket to hold the battery. It does not sit in the mesh in the bottom of the jacket with the fans. It took a couple of hours to fully charge.
