Heavy coat. I'm 5'10 and 212 lbs. 46 in chest and I got an XL. It's a bit too big if I was only wearing a T shirt. But If I put on a hoodie or thick vest it will easy clear all that. If I was just wearing a T shirt, I would probably want a large. It's a good coat with decent insulation. Feels like good quality.

This is a nice jacket, thick, stops the wind getting thru, I work in the oil field perfect for this condition, I'm a 2xl, I ordered a 3xl.. fits perfectly.

I was a bit surprised as how heavy the coat is. It is not a light car coat, but a well constructed cold weather coat. I wear and ordered a medium. The size is true and it fits well, leaving enough room to dress comfortably in layers.Update: 2/19/2025: We've had our first serious winter storm of the winter and I've been working in 8 degree F temps. I'm very pleased with this coat. The only thing I'd like to have is an attached hood. I use a hoody underneath, so, it's fine, but it would be one less thing to have to put on if the coat had its own hood. Otherwise, still a 5 star purchase.

Very high quality. Sturdy double and triple stitches. Huge and secure pockets. This will probably last me the next decade or two. Better than my Carhartt FR jacket in every way. The black stayed true black after the first wash. Read the washing instructions, very important. True to size. If I shed a few pounds I'll be back for the medium. Worth every penny.
