As of 2025-Apr-07:Easy to install. Make sure you take pictures before replacing the board to not forget the placement of each connector. Will update the review if something goes wrong. Here are problems that our fridge had and were fixed with a new control board:- ice maker did not work (no ice produced at all)- lights in the fridge when door is opened may not work- fridge restarts when door is opened- sometimes compressor may not get into continuous work and then restartsInteresting observation from the failed board: some of the capacitors swelled on top, I think old board can be easily fixed with changing the swollen or all capacitors. This also makes me think that fridge manufactures made their products from cheap components which do not last long.

I have a GE fridge that slowly things stopped working on like the lights, then the water dispenser. A power surge from a storm took out the top fridge cooling but the freezer stayed cold. To replace my fridge was north of 3k, yikes. Found this compatible circuit board and for the first time in 6 months the whole fridge is working. Was very easy to install, my daughter & I did it. The value vs buying a new fridge, no comparison. Good quality. I highly recommend this product.

Ice maker stopped working a few years ago. I Was told I had to buy a new fridge if I wanted an ice maker again. After some extensive research I came to the conclusion a new Mother Board might do the trick. With Amazons return policy being so excellent I went ahead and ordered this bad boy. It arrived, I popped it in (delicately), and voila! The Ice Maker is back in business. I'm a very happy man. I Would definitely recommend, and if it doesn't fix your problems, just return it!

My GE Profile refrigerator died with no lights on the control panel or lights on the inside. Ice and water did not work on the door. The only thing operational was the faint sound of the recirc fan inside. After checking for proper voltages with a voltmeter per a YouTube video from Grace Appliance, I determined the control board was the problem. Ordered and received in two days, installed, and everything works. Saved over $2K by not having to buy a new refrigerator.

Buyer beware. I received a board that did not work. After swapping my old board with the new one, my fridge was partially working with lights, temp control panel, and fans running but the compressor would not turn on, so the fridge and freezer was not getting cold at all. I used a meter to measure the voltage at the connector on the board for the compressor but it measure 0v. I bought another board from another seller and everything including compressor worked properly. Luckily I was able to return the defective board.

If your fridge lights are flickering. If your digital display is flickering .and or showing weird symbols and acting wonky. If your condenser fan is turning on for a few seconds when you plug it in and then shuts off every time even though it's clean and free from dust.****If you especially here a ticking or clicking sound coming from thr mother board (rear bottom right of fridge)If the fridge lost its cool.If your fridge power turns on for a little bit and after plugging in and thrm turns off.If your ice maker stopped working. There is a 99.99999 percent chance it's thr motherboard. Take it out in minutes and plug this beutiful board in and wala!!!Every problem goes away. Yes it's typically thr board. These things conk out after 7 to 10 years.Don't call an appliance guy as you will end up paying more than double for th4 board plus 1 hour install and thrm rush job if you call on a weekend or holiday. In thr meantime borrow someone's mini fridge and put basic necessities in there until thr board arrives.Your welcome my friends 😊

I purchased this for my GE Profile model PFSS5RKZASS after the motherboard died on my 11-year-old fridge. I decided to get this as a cheaper option than replacing the fridge, which has worked well other than a water inlet valve replacement a couple years ago. We suffer from a lot of short 2 second or less outages in the area I live and the motherboard finally decided that it couldn’t take it anymore. In my case, the fridge was flashing all zeros on the front display and sounded like it was trying to start the compressor. I immediately unplugged the fridge and moved all my food to a mini fridge and spare freezer I have. I am not an appliance tech or anything like that, so I started doing research to figure out what could have broken and it turns out the zeros flashing is an indicator that the motherboard has failed. Considering there is not really anything considered OEM anymore with GE, as they mostly do not manufacture their own products any longer, I found this board that seemed reasonably priced and has a one-year warranty according to the page, although there is nothing on the included instructions that indicate that. The board looks identical to my original board, with the exception of the serial number sticker on the original. After an initial mishap by AMZ with some liquid cleaner that was packed in the same box that leaked onto the board, which necessitated getting a replacement sent, I began the repair.Having previously tackled the water inlet valve replacement and watching a YT video, this seemed pretty simple to do. Installation for the board is pretty easy, even for a novice like me.First, make sure the power is not plugged in or make sure you unplug the power cord. Remove the protective metal cover on the back of the fridge, which is about 8 to 10 screws. It is the only place that houses the motherboard and only houses the mother board. Before removing, I suggest taking a photo of the original motherboard with all the cables attached as there a lot of them, 10 I think on both side of the board. There are also 4 plastic holders that you have to squeeze a bit to get the board lose from the fridge. Unplug all of the wires, remove the old board and then plug everything back in, making sure you get the plugs lined up with the pins, being careful to not bend any. and the correct plugs into the correct slots. When removing the pins from the old board, you may need a small set of pliers to remove the two smallest pins as mine were a bit stubborn. Carefully push the new board onto the plastic pin holders, screw back the metal cover plate, making sure you attach the green grounding wire to one of the screws. Then plug in power and if there is no issue with the board, it will boot up and start cooling again.I suggest purchasing a brownout protector with a timer delay as that can help prevent damage to the motherboard and compressor if you suffer from outages.I, also, suggest cleaning off the condenser fan before you put the fridge back into place. There tends to be a lot of dirt on the condenser from use. Cleaning it helps the fridge run more efficiently and extends the life of the condenser fan. Cleaning it takes an extra 5 to 10 minutes but is worth the effort, especially if you have never cleaned it.So far, this is working as it should. It is a bit expensive, but cheaper than a new fridge or hiring a company to do it. And it really is pretty easy to replace. My only concerns are the longevity of the product, the unknown brand, which is common for repair parts, and how the warranty is backed. This is doing what it is supposed to for now. I will update my review if anything changes.4 stars
