This is the Newly Made m1 US helmet WW2 version.
The chin strap is connected to the helmet in a knotted way, chin strap color khaki.
The chin strap is hooked to each other to connect, this is the same way of connecting for WW2 US helmet.
It features the right chin strap, the same size as the helmet deep and dimension width, liner, or other details.

I have a small memorial to my grandpa in my home office, and have a bunch of his old army memorabilia and such, this makes an excellent addition. Although not authentic it is in fact metal with leather bands just like the old school ones, at a glance you really can't tell the difference. As for functionality, if doing airsoft or whatever with a WWII theme this would work and provide significant noggin protection as well. the chin strap is a little lacking but I don't think the intent is for this helmet to be used as a functional combat helmet.

The brim is just a bit too straight. A soft mallet will fix this, but be careful as the rim may start to pop off. Straps and hardware is of decent quality. The net, will stretch and fit under the liner and looks pretty decent, though a bit too green. The cammo band, incorrect for the time period, and is of the mid 1980's style. The liner, is plastic, and the strapping and headband is cheap. Paint color on the steel shell is too dark and too smooth. Easy fix with a rattle can of paint. Note, if you are trying to fit a late M1D paratrooper liner (which never seem to fit in issue shells, you are in luck. It is Perfect fit. Great for display.

Pretty nice WWII American reproduction helmet. Actual heavy steel, in the correct OD green paint with abs liner and suspension system. This would be period correct for later production. The netting would be used to add sticks or leaves from the area as camouflage. I take my boys to D-day reenactments every summer and my older son has started a modest collection of Allied / Axis helmets. He was super exited when he saw this one. It made a very nice addition to his collection and was much cheaper than what the vendors want for similar repros at the events. We are both very pleased.
