I purchased an adapter from this brand before and I never thought brass would feel that good for filters. I must say, I am very pleased with these and would definitely recommend. If you are not on a tight budget and plan on using a step up ring, get these. They should last forever and be easier than aluminum on your thread's longevity.

I mention that it is BRASS because as an owner you will have less problems with a ring made of brass than ones made with other materials. Works great for me and I have over 25 years photography experience!!!Recommended...Gordon

It works well on my 35 RF lens its nice and smooth and doesn't eat into the threads like cheaper filters do.

excellent value! real brass construction and knurled edges to ensure filters are easily installed and removed from the adapter. as you may know, brass has a far lower coefficient of friction than aluminum, preventing your filters from sticking when tightened. the extra weight of brass is far outweighed by the ability to unscrew your filters on location without the need for wrenches. brass is also more resistant to expansion and contraction due to ambient temperature.if you've ever dealt with a stuck filter in the cold, in a remote location and without your filter wrenches, because you bought aluminum step rings, these brass adapters will be a revelation. it's why high quality filters use brass rings; their resistance to expansion and contraction due to temperature ensures no light leaks and smoother installation and removal.at this price, they're less than 1/4 the price of the cheapest "professional" brass step adapters. they're more expensive than aluminum rings, but they're worth it, trust me. despite the low cost, these rings have excellent threads, knurling and coating. i'd put these up against any other brass step adapters out on the market today.

I ordered a 52mm, 58mm, 62mm and 67mm to use with my SLR Magic variable 6-stop and Vu 10-stop, 77mm ND filters I received one so far, the 52mm. It is very substantial, unlike the cheap aluminum ones I have. Very nice knurled rim. I have little experience and have never seen a top-end, more expensive ring ring, but I don't think you can beat these for $19 each. I picked up a Vu filter wrench on Ebay from Adorama for $10 and should be set when the remainder of the rings arrive.
