Decent enough for average rims .... I would not recommend using on rims where you care if you scratch them up as this tool is a little rough where it makes contact with the bead.

High quality device to do the tricky business of breaking the bead on a tire. Definitely a learning curve involved. I was changing TPMS sensors on five KO2 truck tires, so breaking the bead was no joke. Using aeveral cut 2x4s (12”-18” in length) and a big rubber mallet really helped too. For the truck tires, I used the bead breaker in about 4 locations and then followed up with a 2x4 on its end pounding down with the rubber mallet to break the bead all around the tire.By the fourth tire I had it down pretty well. Just be patient and don’t get too aggresssive so you don’t break any tools or mar the surface of your wheels. Excellent tool.

Super easy and works great. I read some negative reviews but not sure why? I only used it on one wheel yet to be fair. I bought to bypass the cheap assembly on the H.F. changer and it’s just what I needed

I'm so tired of being scammed by tire shops to something as simple as changing tire pressure monitoring sensors. Most shops mark up the sensor costs far too much and then charge really high fees for the labor and code programming. With this bead breaker, I did the job myself and the results were perfect.Sure, there is a bit of a learning curve, but that's kind of the fun part.I would absolutely recommend this bead breaker, just take your time with it, make sure you adjust the clamp down bolt several times, making sure to seat the pushing bar as close to the rim as possible and also lube up the entire bead really, really well, as this will help tremendously.Nice product, NOT MADE IN CHINA, but rather Taiwan! Yeah! Never thought I'd be happy to see a product made in Taiwan, but trust me, the quality of this is really excellent. Taiwan is known for producing higher quality products, second of course to the USA. :)All in all, if you believe you need this, just buy it. You'll have it for the rest of your life and pass it down to your kids.

Broke on first use and scratched my Ford Raptor wheels in the process. You are way better off using the alternative method of placing the wheel/tire underneath the hitch and using a scissor jack and 2x4 piece of wood toapply downward pressure on the tire using the hitch as the support point. I did that a few times around the tire and the tire came off the bead easily and without damaging the wheel. What a waste of money this tool was. Cheap welds on the feet broke off on first use. I returned it for a refund

Used this on some 1980's three wheeler tires that were very stuck to the rims. Will be quite useful for future rescue projects as well.

Bought this slightly used. Works like a charm. Does what it's supposed to, if you follow instructions and don't hammer on the bolt like it owes you money, you should be good.

Makes popping the beads on my interceptor 650 tires a breeze. (I wish it could help remounting the tire:-) ). It's the quality and kind of tool you can hand down to your kids.

It does work, and there is a learning curve. I would give it a 5 star but I would not call it "love". Its is not as fast as the video would have you believe and more often than not you need to move it round the tire for 2-3 other locations on the rim. Your can destroy your tire by pushing the tool foot threw the side wall of the tire if you do not have it clamped tight enough. You need to watch the tools foot as you tighten it down. You can use an impact driver but I found you get a better feel with a socket wrench, regarding clamping. Impact is fine for the breaking the bead. I tighten down the clamp unit is bottoms out then turn it back 1 full turn. This gets you tight enough on the rim, but loose enough for the foot to pass over the rim lock. Watch as you go, just don't blindly use a driver, our you might just cut perfectly square slices into your tires side wall instead of breaking the bead. You will need a large c clamp or two to hold the tire from returning to the bead seat as you brake the bead. Once the back side rim bead is broken 360 deg you will need to use a tool to drive the tire into the recessed groove due to the longer rim flat. I used a blunted flat bar and a hammer, while the rim only was supported up on large wood block. You need to support the rim only so the tire is will stay were it has been driven and will not drift back. Pros: super compact and light, well made, works. Cons: slowish, tire damage risk. I would buy it again, its cool, but you there is a learning curve.
