GREAT PRODUCT! WORKS SO WELL -OUR KITTENS NO LONGER JUMP ON THE COUNTER.SO... THE ISSUE WITH THE ADHESIVE... YES IT DEFINATELY MAKES A HUGE MESS ONCE YOU TAKE THIS STUFF OFF. HOWEVER~ I HAVE MADE A HUGE DISCOUVERY.THE TAPE ITSELF THAT MAKES CONTACT WITH YOUR FURNITURE, THERE IS ADHESIVE SO IT STICKS WELL! WHEN YOU GO TO REMOVE THE TAPE, IT WILL LEAVE THIS STICKY WHITE STUFF BEHIND. THATS A HUGE ISSUE! SO I LAID THIS TAPE ON MY GRANITE COUNTER AND LEFT IT ON FOR ABOUT 2 WEEKS... I REMOVED IT THIS MORNING AND THERE IT WAS!!! ALL THE GROSS AFTERMATH.I PUT OLIVE OIL ON EACH SPOT AND RUBBED IT IN AND LEFT IT FOR ABOUT 40 MINUTES. I STARTED TO REMOVE IT WITH A CLOTH AND OMG IT LITERALLY CAME OFF LIKE BUTTER!!!!!!!!!!!! COMPLETELY GONE AND IT WAS EFFORTLESS! PLEASE USE THIS TECHNIQUE, IT WILL SAVE YOUR FURNITURE!

I’ve bought i think 5 or 6 leather sectionals over the past 10 years bc my cats DESTROY them in no time it’s just marked scratched nail holes it’s just nasty in a couple months a few I mean there was more of the underneath fabrics than the bonded leather left if one makes a year it’s amazing. They tear them up just like walking normal can see it being marked up these 2 got some razor sharp claws. Their cat tree, scratching posts and boards and slopes and the rest of the cat scratching line of products my living room is a cat scratching item showroom they’re everywhere especially next to furniture but nope the cardboard ones and the arm of any type of furniture the tree all the rest looks immaculate new lol. No I’m not dumb I’m annoying and picky won’t but anything but leather so stop thinking why I keep repeating this…it’s not the money it’s just that cat tore up furniture is ugly and nasty looking doesn’t matter leather only here the end. Anyways… Bought a white faux leather sofa and an expensive lime green leather - not sure if real or maybe a leatherette or bonded wasn’t cheap but typical smooth leather feel surface - as well as 6 faux fur throws all was tightly covered pulled tight not taken off for a good 6 months at all. Knew they got the arms a little and the very top of the chair but no over time they somehow still made a decent impact definitely not ‘new’ anymore. Years back bought a brand new ultra modern bright orange Italian leather crazy sectional - super expensive had to have it - bought one of these tapes… put it on it just the arms to try front side tops all around arm and side I knew would be their go to… ugly ugly completely noticiable eyesore it just looks bad stuck to furniture - but nope she came walking right up and scratched it like it wasn’t there right into it. Jumped right on top walked on it. Sat down. Lol she’s crazy. Like it wasn’t there at all… pulled it right off, with a few leather cat nail size dots and sticky glue all over everything messed the arm right up in one place never fully got the residue off all over the sides and top… it’s glue starts to look black dirt sticking looks very bad. Every time I wiped it down was reminded just couldn’t get some off… luckily that one lasted a couple years somehow but eventually cats always conquer and was shredded. It just ruined my new $5000 waste of money I loved so much and was so happy to get like right away. I despised this type of tape never again. But would like to at least occasion uncover the new stuff and enjoy it since all settled in now but no just messed up here and there even covered. That green chair was my splurge item and top the sides they definitely discovered it. Needed to do something bc this cheap sofa is too cheap and they’ll take it down in a couple months not a chance with these two they’ll shred it instantly so cheap - i know i bought cheap being how disposable they’ve been in the past I got what I paid for lol price was too good but whatever…. getting back on track… I do not want my green chair to suffer the same short life the couch will have and want to sit on for once had to prevent somehow… spray deterant??? One of them will come running for her treat lol sprayed like on top of fridge once didn’t want them up there. Sprayed the top. She came and had dinner. Loved the taste of what’s purposely supposed to taste or smell bad or i don’t remember all I know is she came up and licked it clean like a piggy. Tape always looks like the most recommended widely used solution to this. Most specifically said somehow how not compatible and do not use sticking it to any leather like surfaces it will more likely than not ruin and probably damage etc just not applicable. Kept looking… see the front of it - this one clearly lists specifically how it’s ok on leather vinyl etc. plus boast the claim of ‘no residue left behind after’ definitely a huge lie. With this stuff it got messy quick peeling and putting it on nastily getting all gluey sticky stuff on myself too easy ruined if touches anything can’t reapply once touched. went thru a few for every one I got in place where i wanted but decent to apply wasn’t difficult and tested a few spots, came right off clean…. Applied to arms and sides of sofa as well across entire top and as was saying very top of chair and couple of small noticable claw holes so top of chair and around corners used to climb, actual application overall easy. But like last time was so ugly looks so bad can’t miss this stuff like the last one. Figured whatever pulled easiily off so taped it all up. First one jumped up on the top the most travelled route she got so confused and ran she absolutely didn’t like walking on it looking back like what in the world is this nasty on her couch. Same with arm, came up to use her favorite vertical post aka the arms, walked up did her yawn and long stretch and went for her arm. Again that confused look, she was confused what it was and how to react, she wasn’t having it. The older one who’s slowed down doesn’t hyper scratch everything possible not her most travelled routes lol. She jumped on chair and sticky icky - since even the slightest touch will have the glue on everything am thinking that look they both first touch it’s just gluey if that’s a word lol, maybe all stuck in fur I don’t know. Ok again attempt to get back on track the next day or 2 both investigated and discover all the areas and both so aren’t fan. Don’t think have seen either come back and jump or walk on the areas they do all day long every day they have like a path like where they probably subconsciously just go every single time every day kinda like u don’t think too much walking the same path back/forth to designated areas. They both seemed to learn lesson first time instantly. They just don’t go up walking across the tops not to an arm nothing. The one that just follows me all day I move she follows. Couldn’t lose her if tried - like a robot does what it needs to whatever it takes not looking or thinking where to she walked on again. Kinda automaticish plus nothing will get in the way or stop her she’s jumping to get to other places inattentive. She didn’t realized. 2 weeks later i came to realize that both completely avoid both chair and sofa COMPLETELY. LESSON DEFINITELY INSTANT LEARNED. So yeah it does what it says it’s for preventing or controlling the furniture destruction problem. They both have zero desire - with the exception of me sitting on it and they need to sit on me or the seat cushions alone…. regardless , who cares they avoid both the sofa and chair no desire jump up .. they just don’t want to on either couple weeks since seen it. Have had the throws off and these just ‘cat taped’ they don’t go on them don’t even try not like they see it - so going back to me and disgusted seeing it every time each and every day so ugly want it off. I pull and we got long strings of glue stretching and sticking pulling full strips of eventually strings let go was just so gluey and not like dried adhesive liquid ish or something still. Just gooey sticky stuck. Pulled off and same shape of tape full of residue. Exactly same as the last time (don’t recall or even looked if compatible would never think not - if not the opposite since easiest to be messed up and just stick in general. Leather smoothness you’d think easy to stick tape is weird on cloth material kinda - and since made something small a huge ordeal analyzing here for you, maybe the gooey stretchy good adhesive strength is so it can stick to fibers. I would think it kinda sticks but falls , whatever., plus not as destructible - i may have possibly assumed wrong lol. So for the last getting back on track (hope so or going to have to divide this book on my cat tape experience into chapters haha) pulled a bunch off both the chair and sofa different directions pulling fast slow all different ways doesn’t matter - got various degrees of residue from every single piece it’s sticky gooey shiny CLEARLY as visible if not more so with the tape off lol. Now that sticky disaster is going to get dirty (one or 2 pieces did must’ve leaned against wearing something dark that gives off fuzzes lol black nasty tape stuck on the upside - on white especially lol - GOT RESIDUE ON BOTH PIECES SOFA AND CHAIR. Been avoiding a few seats not to sit back to lean on top and did but on this it’s literally to the leather itself and just no this all about to get nasty fasttttt if I don’t take it off somehow. Bout to pull off the long top pieces and this all just is horrible. I knew how bad it affected me last time just ruining dead center focus point of my space so much thought and care to clean and most importantly enjoy - IM JUST MAD. This was purposely chosen claims of compatibility. LIES. Why stop there?!?! Might as well claim something sticky won’t stick and come smooth cleanly off while they were at it. I’m just pissed I got huge residue across the most visible parts of the center of my home and that chair wasn’t cheap. A few starting attempts like warm water soft cloth or dish soap and even cleaner nope. THIS BETTER COME OFF. I seem to be using this platform venting all this I’m going offfffff and whoever responsible will be stopped from making false claims. May not sound like a big deal to a lot I do t know don’t care it and I’m livid. Cleaning stuff (that don’t lie usually which is just evil to do) here and there chemically reacts to leather…especially the cheap fake leather something will literally burn a hole from the reaction always have to use anything cautiously first. Like I said even tested it guess the stick melts or gets stronger and sets I don’t know I don’t care THIS TAPE RUINED BOTH MY $900 NEW CHAIR AND MY NEW BUT CHEAP SOFA. This isn’t just the arms it’s across it right across. Anything reacts or this doesn’t come off someway somehow have to get rid of it will be destroyed. Let’s sum this up so I don’t rant another dozen pages of how messed up this tape will ruin your things. They have to know they have to that’s just so wrong. 2 different ish types of leather and same destruction. Need to get over this lol think made my point. Sooo…. THIS CAT TAPE TO PREVENT YOUR LITTLE ANGELS FOR DESTROYING YOUR FURNITURE OVER TIME WILL JUST GIVE IT A HUGE HIT THAT WILL EITHER TAKE YOUR FURNITURE RIGHT OUT OR POSSIBLY COST ALOT OF TIME AND ATTEMPTS TO CLEAR OFF ADEQUATELY IF NOT DESTROYED BY SOMETHING U USE TO MAKE THINGS CLEAN AND NICE. YOUVR BEEN WARNED OF THE VICOUS CIRCLE YOU WONT COMPLETELY RECOVER FROM. AM SURE IF IT DOES COME OFF IT WONT BE RIGHT ITS THAT STUCK ALREADY. DO NOT ABSOLUTELY DO NOT STICK THIS TO ANYTHING IN THE LEATHER TYPE OF MATERIAL. Did it work tho? Technically yes. They leave the furniture alone. So far. Sure theyd realize it’s not sticky anymore and back at it but yes stopped them for now at least. Would’ve much rathered them enjoying their stroll across it or sharpening their nails all happy on it over a few months over just messed up. Time to see how to stop false claims. Check back in a few weeks I promise this will not continue and won’t see this anymore! And what furniture I had to buy twice now this year. If this sticks to other types of whatever yeah it works. Got a mission now and I’m out hahaha!! THIS STOPS NOW I HATE U STICKY TAPE PEOPLE U REALLY SCREWED ME. Not happy if U haven’t noticed. The end lol get ready

My cat is a terror to my high surfaces. I’ve tried tinfoil and strips of regular double sided but he is impossible to deter. He just shakes his paws and finds the few spots where there isn’t tape. He has been climbing onto the top of my headboard in an attempt to get onto my shelves above my bed. He’s broken so many Lego models this way so I broke down and bought the tape. I put a king strip of it across the whole headboard (pictured above). It works great! He still doesn’t have the extreme adverse reaction that most kittens have to sticky texture, but he dislikes the feeling and has learned to stop jumping up there. Mission success! Def but this stuff! It’s thick, very sticky, and easy to apply!I think this could work for countertops but you would have to put it on the whole surface if you have a cat like mine. So that isn’t totally practical but it could work for a short time until they stop trying to get up. Then just cross your fingers that they don’t realize it’s gone :)

Se pega bien pero es doble cara, por dejar una superficie pegajosa, se pega a la ropa o las pelusas y polvo se quedan pegados en la cinta....

I followed the installation instructions to the letter. I have to laugh at people saying “watch what it sticks to!”. Other than sticking to itselfIt did not remain stuck to any cloth furniture that my cat is scratching at. I wasted my money and the cat is still at my chairs that I was trying toProtect. The pieces I installed lifted off the cloth and are sitting in the floor beneath the chairs.

First, I'm amused (and a bit saddened) by how many bad reviews a tape that is powerful enough to stick to EVERYTHING gets for STICKING TO EVERYTHING. Is that now what it's meant to do?Second, if you want to train your cat. Get this tape. And an old box. Easy peasy. We recently adopted a 4yo neglect survivor, who is VERY food motivated, and thus wants to be where the food lives ALL THE TIME. Or she did, until we built this 'force field'.We recommend building it in tiles, leaving some edge space to pick them up, so you can move them when you need to use the area. This tape WILL stick to everything, and peeling it off your skin is like getting waxed. OUCH! By making tiles, you can cover the space you don't want kitty to be on, yet remove it easily. When not in use, lean them (not sticky side to the wall please!) on the wall in an unused room until it's time for them to go back up.Simple, right? It took about a week, but Mal learned that the counter is a VERY BAD PLACE and not worth the potential rewards of a snack left behind.

This tape works very well at getting your furry critters to stop scratching your furniture. All of our furniture is either fabric or micro-suede and it sticks well to these surfaces. It is a bit difficult getting the tape backing off, but it is easy to apply and the versatility to put it where you need it is the biggest selling point of this tape versus the pad type. Our kitten has spent quite a bit of time trying to bite the tape off the corner of the couch, unsuccessfully. She has not scratched at all in the areas we applied the tape. It is a bit unsightly if it is in a high traffic area. Our cat attacks the arm rest area of the couch, and it is a bit of a pain having sticky tape on the arm rest. Nevertheless, it works VERY well for the intended purpose. I would buy another roll should it be needed.

I bought a fabric storage bench that my two cats took to as a new scratching post so in my quest of looking for double sided tape, I came across this. Before applying, I glided scotch tape over the surfaces where I would be placing the double sided tape to help remove hair and then I applied the double sided tape. Unlike other reviews, I did not have a problem removing the tape backing, so maybe they have improved their design? The tape has held up well, even with investigation by my cats, but there is one flaw I failed to think of before purchase - the tape is sticky...so my cat's fur get stuck to it and your furniture inevitably looks like it has grown hair. This is not a problem of the tape itself, but more of the functionality. I replace it because of this and it isn't necessarily cheap
