I purchased this because it said it would adhere to carpet to carpet. I applied it to an area rug over wall to wall carpet. As suggested, I applied it in a corner first. It seemed to bond quickly and easily so I continued adhering the area rug to the carpet.. My brother uses a wheelchair so I had him roll over the attached area rug. The carpet tape pulled up immediately and the area rug started bunching and slipping. Now I'm back to searching for a better solution. Very disappointed. I used the entire 2"x 30 yds on one 9x12 area rug and the rug still won't stay in place. The wall to wall carpet is brand new, low pile commercial grade (Berber maybe?) in his apartment. The area rug is thin and much softer with a rubber backing. The tape did not stick to either surface.

These are our 3rd time purchasing these rolls of tape in the last 3 years. If my wife didnt change our rugs so often i probably would still be on my orinal set of rolls because this stuff LASTS! Stays sticky the whole time and adheres to tile like duct tape.

This tape was easy to use (with sharp utility knife...don't bother with a dull one or scissors, it will just cause frustration). I used it for stair treads and was nervous it wouldn't provide enough hold, but it blew me away and those treads aren't going anywhere! No need to use staples.... It will be easier to pull up carpet when need to replace treads. One roll was enough to do 15 stairs with tape on every side of carpet.
