I have beat the hell out of these lids and they still hold up.. i have had 6 different sets of 6X9s in them and modified them to hold three 6.5" speakers on each side and back to the current set of 6X9s in them now. I have had them for almost 4 years or so now. Here is my biggest bi*ch about them ... the grills that cover them are made out of the same thing as the rest of the lid and probably is not an issue in other places in the country BUT the grills are much thinner than the rest of the lid. I live in florida and ride all year long. Temperature is not an issue for me but the grills hate the difference , meaning they get hotter faster than the rest of the lid and they warp all out of shape till the temp gets evened out. if the grill was just 1/16 of and inch bigger as well as the lip it is supposed to ride on they would be perfect.. as far as configuration of amps and speakers.. I listen to everything so i need a bit of versatile.. The best configuration I have found is two 6X9 subs and two cheap ass Duel speakers from autozone, along with two Jenson mosfet amps from wally world.. One 1200 watt 4 channel amp for the front and rear speakers and one 1000 watt Jenson mono mosfet sub amp for the 2 6X9 subs. Thoes jenson amps are the perfect size to mount on the inside of the back wall of your saddlebags. Yes you will have to poke a couple holes in the bags to get them mounted leaning forward on the back wall but this way you will almost keep 90% of the space in your bags. Put one amp in each bag, do some creative wiring, I only used 3 hex head bolts to mount each amp and 6 precise shots of flex seal clear and i have never once had a water leak EVER in my saddlebags,,,, once again i live in florida I get wet on a tri weekly basis, I get take your clothes off in the garage before you go in the house wet at least 8 times a year... not once have i had a drop of water in my saddlebags.. anyways the amps come with a app that goes on your phone... long and short of it is>>> you can feel that configuration in your chest....

Decent for the price. I didn't care for the grills so I covered them with speaker material. Made a huge difference in over all look.
