I’ve bought several Xit products over the years, and despite the low prices, the quality and customer service is among the best.

It seems to me an excellent product in relation to value for money. It does not generate chromatic aberrations or distortions in images. It is easy to screw and unscrew.I give it 4 stars because the glass seems to be quite thin and fragile, I don't know if it will take a very small drop or bump. For the purpose of protecting the lens against scratches and fingerprints it is excellent.

It is clear and you can see through it. It fits my 72mm lens fine and dandy. What more can I say?

Needed a 95mm filter for a telephoto mirror lens, and this fit the bill. Perfectly clear UV filter, easily screws to my lens.

It fit well and is easily removed. I don't plan to shoot through it. I bought it to protect my lens and will be removing it every time I shoot! If I wanted to shoot through a $2,000 lens, why would I shoot through a $10 filter? For what I am using it for, it's worth every penny!

I bought this to protect my Sigma 60-600mm zoom lens. As it was being sent from the U.S.A. I expected a long wait but it arrived within a week! It's perfectly clear with no blemishes, excellent value for money!

I applied the filter on my new Tamron 150-600 and the photo / focus quality degraded significantly. After over 750 shots wasted I realized the filter was the problem and a quick test without the filter confirmed the same. The lens performance with the filter was so bad that I couldn't use a single shot of the 750 because the images were lacking focus even in bright daylight and at 1/1000+ shutter speed. Moreover, there is a patchyness on image instead of bokeh which can be easily seen.

I like price on this filter and it seems to have good coating BUT mine came resealed, Damaged Package, and Dirty! I did not have time to return and replace (It is Prime) and after carefully cleaning, it appears to be OK. Just be aware that it does not have usual hard plastic case and may need "service" before using.

If you purchase something along the lines of the range of aftermarket 500mm F6.3 mirror lenses currently available you would be well advised to purchase one of these filters as a protective screen. Initial impression is that they work well enough - need a bit more effort using the lens it is fitted on to fully evaluate it optically. I tried a few shots under different conditions [short range/long range/backlit type of thing]- could not detect any detrimental impact. Value for money-excellentWill update this post if I find anything different with more experience in due course.
