The product I received did not look like the one on the photo. Everything works, but the fit and finish of the materials are not equal to that of Canon's. I am able to use my aperture and autofocus, but I find that manual focus is better. That said, the product is good value for the money and is well suited for someone who is exploring macro photography, but does not want to spend a lot of money on equipment. I would purchase this product again.

Pros:*The build quality is pretty good.*Easy to use.*Can be combined in any way.*Electrical contacts and allows aperture change.Cons:*The threads are very tight and the release buttons are not always easy to press. For the price, can't complain too hard, and I'd rather have tight threads than loose threads.*Difficult to focus my d810 with a 50mm lens. It hunts and searches and manual is hit or miss. Likely an issue with my equipment, but it should be noted for buyers of any extension tube.*Most likely the lens, but the zoom ability is so powerful, it maxes out the depth of field, resulting in a blur spot in the center convex point of the glass, and definitely affects the shape of the bokeh as you can see in the progression shots of zoom levels with these extensions. First is bare lens, last is with all of them stacked and nearly touching the object.*They don't lock immediately with (at least) the d810 body. You need to twist it locked, then twist it the other direction to make sure it's actually locked, which it is usually not. If you don't do this, your lens probably won't work right and you'll need to remove the lens and make sure it's locked before putting the lens back on.For the price, can't go wrong. The quality is good, but a star is taken off because it doesn't always attach properly to the body. You really have to twist it both ways to make sure it's locked, and you do have to make sure the extension is attached before attaching the lens. Extra steps. I like it, it might be too powerful for my 50mm lens, but the extension choices are good. Other sets have 4-5 rings for better refinement, but are twice the price. The photos show a progression of base 50mm lens to combinations of the tubes. There is some variation of lighting and angle, BUT pay attention to the depth of field, especially in the last 2 photos. They show the oddness in bokeh that magnifying can produce.

Better than I expected.Being only a keen hobbyist of photography, I don't have the ready cash to spend on an expensive macro lens. (Maybe one day) But I still want to get the close up macro shots that first brought me into photography. These little extenders work wonders. I was expecting something cheap and breakable, that wouldn't last. I'm happy to say I'm wrong. While plastic and light, the mechanics are well put together and I haven't had any issues with them. I've used them with multiple lens, stacked and unstacked.Pros:- They don't detract from the image quality. I've had glass magnifiers and they tend to cause diffraction. I haven't seen any loss in sharpness or quality with these tubes.- Autofocus and exposure - I have a workhorse Nikon D3000, and I've had no issue with these tubes. Occasionally, if not put on properly the camera won't find the lens. This is easily fixed by reattaching the tube or lens. The speed of autofocus hasn't been noticeably affected. That being said, as a macro extension you will find that manual focus is more your friend.- With three sizes I can get as close as I need too- Sturdy. I've taken these into many different environments: sandy, wet, muddy, cold, hot, dry. I've been rough with them, keeping them in jacket pockets or stuffing them in a bag. And once leaving them on a wet log.Considerations:- Be sure to attach the tubes and lens properly, or you'll have issues with your camera finding the lens- Remember to stop down your aperture. At 2.8 with the 20 mm extension tube, you get a very "surreal" like blurring. It works great if you're going for a fantastical fairy-like image. But if you want sharpness I've found f4 and f5.6 to be sufficient.- I find these tubes work best on a 50 mm, on the kit 18-55mm your focus point recedes into the lens body and you will no longer be able to focus. You subject would need to be "in" the lens to get focus. A 70-200 mm works well too.I've included some photos I've taken using one or more of the tubes, mostly on a 50 mm lens.
