Bulb worked OK when first installed, then started tuning off once after turning tv on, stayed on after that. Now Tv turns on then goes off after 2 mins, then keeps going on and off a few times then flashes red saying the bulb is bad. Bulb only lasted a month.

So far so good just got delivered fast. Install very easy and lamp worked right away with very colorful and vivid picture. Now to test durability.

This lamp worked perfectly for our sony tv.After reading some other reviews I was a little nervous about what I'd purchased. I read one that said the lamp received wasn't what was pictured BUT the Product I got WAS exactly as pictured. It came well packaged and on time. I cannot comment on how long it'll last since I just purchased and installed it (yesterday) but I will say this- This is the FIRST time I've gotten a lamp from Amazon that didn't immediately give me the warning ⚠ telling me it needed to be replaced. I expected it the first time I turned on my tv but nope, so far no warning! That's why I gave this 5 stars.

Bought from here twice, once as a replacement and one for backup couple years later. I am on my original replacement from them, 3K hours and counting. Although when I purchased my original replacement, I had ordered one for a buddy who had the same tv. His replacement only lasted 6-12 months before it went on the fritz and started re-using his original sony bulb. But mine seems to be functioning fine.

This is my second time purchasing this particular item. I thought it was a good deal the first time but it only lasted 5 months! So why did I buy it again? Because it was the least expensive and I needed it asap. I got it the next day. Now just two months later my tv is already showing signs that the bulb may go out again very soon. If I have to buy another cheap one I will have spent more money than I would have on an original manufacture lamp which can be about $200. I really hope this one will last until I can afford the real one but I doubt it. On the plus side, it came with the complete housing and was easy to install in about 5 minutes.

We have had this lamp in for a while. While I did not think it was as bright as the original I do believe it was worth the money. As previous people stated it was very tight to get in.....I actually thought I was going to break something as I "forced" it in...there has to be something different about the assy. I got it in and it works but it doesnt fit like it should.

I bought this replacement bulb with the intention that it would replace the bulb that the T.V. indicated was time for replacement. Being a computer guy, and my wife the T.V.-aholic, I thought I was doing the right thing because the set had indicated the bulb was due for replacement. I had the Geek-Squad at best buy, for an additional $299 when I purchased it, come in and fine tune the set. This would typically be something I would never do because I know my way around electronics fairly well (I build my own computers) but it met the "Installation" agreement to allow for 36 month no interest financing vs. twelve months. On a side note, that investment was worth it because they came in with a laptop and calibrated things you could never access without voiding your warranty and spent about 2 hours making it one of the best pictures I have seen in my life. Then came the "Your Bulb is reaching the end of it's lifespan" text on the screen when you would start the t.v. up. I happened to be on the vacation the week that the message popped up and was shocked at the price of a new bulb. I immediately went to Amazon to scout out a deal and ordered this product immediately. It started about 3 weeks ago that the t.v. would shut off every 2 minutes or so and the green light would continue to blink (a ton of times) then come back on only to shortly shut off after. I had saved the original bulb and just got done putting that back into the set. The bulb, the one that I ordered, had a milky white gloss over the edges of it. The t.v. is now working fine with original bulb that was in it. Note, that when that message come up it is based on time and not TRUE bulb health. This bulb = 1 year till gone bad. Old bulb, that this one replaced, = T.V. that functions just like when we purchased it. This was a very frustrating experience.
