I purchased this item as a back up, Didn't need it for 7 months, Installed 7/20/23, Failed in less than 2 weeks, Can't contact business for free replacement, I have installed these projection lamps for more than 10 years. So I know what I am doing. In fact 2 lamps ago I just purchased the lamp with out the housing and it lasted 21/2 years

Ordered 2 lamps for my XL-5200 SONY due to notification on screen that bulb was nearing replacement. Installed new lamp as per manual, picture and brightness so-so but useable. Approx 2 weeks later the lamp started shutting off then turning back on every 60 seconds or so, repeating this behavior every minute or so. I removed this lamp and installed the other new lamp, which lasted about 2weeks before behaving the exact same way!! I have re-installed the old lamp which was purchased several years ago and it has worked perfectly for over 3 weeks! NOTE that NO "LAMP FAIL" LED on TV occurred while these lamps were dropping out, also, all cooling vents and fan are clean and working. Please contact me for warranty on these lamps. I will NOT accept replacements from same mfg.!!

I bought this replacement lamp twice. First time is lasted just two days past the 30-Day Amazon return policy but under the manufacturers "180 day warranty", Amazon made good on the warranty and sent a replacement lamp. Second lamp lasted exactly 21 days and went out. Won't be buying this brand a third time. I cannot believe why the manufacturer would sell something which they've probably had hundreds (if not more) of returns on. I'm without a TV again for a week waiting for the next replacement lamp to arrive. A waste of time and inconvenience to order this brand. Hoping the next brand of lamp I've ordered will last longer than 30 days!

It was great while it lasted but only went 350 hours. Fourth lamp in my Benq1070 - still looking for a quality replacement at a reasonable price.

This bulb did not seem bright enough right off the bat. Then after a few weeks it got so dim I could barely see the TV. I put the old lamp back in. I didn’t want to pay $80 for a bulb, but maybe that’s what quality lamps cost.

I purchsed a KDS-60A2000 a while back for a basement TV. This new bulb restored the brightness level to original or better. It was plug and play. Bulb came quickly and well packaged.
