Upon opening the package, the reel would only extend 6". After some tugging it extended to 12" and locked. The line wouldn't spool back into the housing or extend further. I have a trip soon, so I tried to open the housing, which was glued shut, but upon opening it I found the main spool, which is orange, had a chunk broken from it. That must have happened at the factory because the packing arrived undamaged. Then, the spring flew out, and the thing self-disassembled. To make the matter worse, I've tried to initiate the return process three times; each time there was a technical problem. It looks like I wasted $26
