I bought this pistol lanyard in tan to go with my Glock 19x while carrying in the woods. I wanted something that would provide an additional layer of retention should I need to use it while on a slope of a mountain. I didn’t want it sliding down the mountain should I slip, or drop it somehow. The lanyard coil seems durable and overall the product seems well put together. The silver clip on the end does feel a little cheap however, and I have been looking into finding something a little more durable feeling. One option I found that also fits the lanyard loop of the 19x is a Nite Ize Micro S-Biner (pictured). This feels a little more durable than the silver clip, it has a locking switch, and is available in coyote color to somewhat match. The width of the Velcro is nice, and it fits around my belt properly. I also like that it is close in color to my 19x. It will take a little practice drawing and extending your arms to get familiar with the tension, but it works fine. It extends well and retracts back properly.

Silver looking clip is too feeble

I like the over all basic build of this lanyard. It has a sturdy coil and hardware. I would likeep to see a lanyard with an adjustable length coil. And the velcro (hook and loop) could be a bit better. But other wise it seems strong and should last a long time.Lanyards are items that should be used more often. With the cost of everything going up and up. And theft going right up with it a good lanyard should be on many things. Field 2 way radios, mobile phones, whatever... maybe not as heavy duty as the one sold here. But a simple inexpensive strap/lanyard will eventually save you in alot of lost time and money.I was trained in the military and by other firms to lanyard your sidearm whenever possible. I don't lanyard my sidearm when carrying concealed and I'm just going about but I do when I'm overseas, hunting, bike riding, more active... pretty much anytime my sidearm is exposed or has I higher chance of coming free from the holster (by whatever means other than my own). It would be a very bad day for any pistol user to loose contol of their sidearm regardless if they are civilian, contractor, or government

working just fine with my pistol holster. We will see how the Velcro holds up over time. I have never used this brand before but I'm hopeful.
