The connections between the units and the end caps have an o-ring inside of them , and if they're not lubricated and aligned perfectly they will leak. the engagement slots , between the manifold units and the end caps only turn about a quarter inch to lock it together which is a very weak design. Threaded fittings would have been far superior. The unit I received already has a leak in one of the tubes which I am now going to have to cut out and make a repair. I would send it back but I damn near killed myself mounting it up on the roof of the building so I'm just going to have to deal with it at this point.

After having this stored for the winter, I just set it up, and it's leaking at the connectors. We really enjoyed this last summer, but maybe it's only supposed to last one summer.

I'm in the suburbs of Chicago and I do like it. It warms the water up nice on sunny days. It does help to extend the swimming season a little bit. I have had it for 3 years now and the one problem with it if you take it down every year is the connectors. They are a twist lock. It might be hard to see in the picture but the slot is breaking down and it does not seal as well anymore.

We used this with a 10 foot kiddie pool that holds 1000 gallons and only gets sun half the day. We ran it with a 1000gph pump, and in full sun it will raise the pool water temp 2 degrees an hour. The pool is always comfortable now, and on the days I forget to run it we definitely notice a difference. I’m sure the effect would be less dramatic with a larger pool, but this definitely works. I highly recommend this product. Just remember not to let it run at night or it will have the opposite effect.

I’ve been looking forward to get or make one of these, but it was so expensive, we live in central Florida and the kids wanted to enjoy the pool a little bit longer than the summer, so in the winter when it gets frozen 61 degrees 😂, if we can warm it up at least 10 degrees it will be perfect, this presented as a good choice but I was undecided because cheap normally means low quality. It arrived way sooner than expected, and I reviewed the package, I will install in two weeks, it is bigger than you expect, and the quality seems to be really good, it comes with a full booklet of instructions in civilized understandable English.I will install it over the grass so I don’t put the little Intex pump to an extra work pumping to the roof.I will be updating after the installation but I’m already thinking to get a second one.

I have this on the roof just for couple days and is leaking already. I am in Arizona in Phoenix suburbs, we get here 120F in summer, I hope this will work for more then just one summer. Is leaking right where they showing on the manual how to fix leaks. That makes sense now why they have this on the manual. I'm not going back and forth to the roof every couple days to fix leaks. They want me to return for refund. I have this mounted on the roof!I will try to fix this leak. It was not that easy to mount this! I'm not taking it down just for one leak.Update. After complaint, the seller is shipping replacement.

I am totally impressed with the panels. I bought one to experiment and see what issues there might be. I got a 3 to 7 degree rise in temperature with one panel using a sump pump on the swimming ledge as a temporary test. I was so impressed that I bought 2 more. I literally just installed them - I'm getting a 6 degree rise early in the day and expect 10 at noon. No leaks and rasy to install. I did have to work a bit to adapt from the inlet and outlet to the 3/4 inch tubing. I used 1 inch compression repair fittings that worked perfectly. I may use 1 inch or 1 1/2 inch pipe for the permanent installation.

The XtremepowerUS Inground/Above Ground Swimming Pool Panel Heater does work. The problem with a larger pool is the water coming out of a 2 inch pipe is restricted down to 1 inch for the heater. The Sand Filter pressure will double because of the water restriction. The amount of water coming out of the inlet port is cut in half so the pressure to circulate the pool is lost. I had to install a cheap separate basically disposable Intex type above ground pool pump to run through this to keep my regular filter separate from the heater. If you have a small above ground pool this will work. If you have anything of size you would want to have TWO separate ones of these to split your water flow into each to keep your same pressure. Water was between 2-5 degrees warmer coming out of the heater based on the suns position.
