This is the 3rd one I’ve purchased in the past 12 years so they last a long time, they work great, and the price cannot be beat. This unit works just as good or better than units that cost 3 to 4 times more. Based on past results I expect to get a good 5 to 6 years out of this unit equating to a cost of $20.00 a year, cheaper than one meal at a fast food restaurant. Seriously consider this cleaner for your in-ground pool as opposed to other name brand suction cleaners.

First I was a tad disappointed to find out the testing kit didn’t arrive with the vacuum. But I contacted the seller and they responded quickly and efficiently by sending it out right away with now questions asked.The vacuum works great for what we needed, so glad to have our pool crystal blue water. I’m new to maintaining a pool and glad I didn’t have to spend an arm and a leg on a vacuum.

I have had this on for 2 1/2 years. It's starting to show a little worse for wear. I'm perfectly happy with that. $86.00 at the time. I can replace it every couple of years and come out way ahead of the expensive ones. Just ordered a replacement. Works great with my in-ground pool.

The vacuum works well but was a tough assembly, The hoses connections are very tight & hard to connect. One piece is missing from the end that attaches to the skimmer. It is a cone shaped connection because my skimmer has a small hole to connect to thankfully I saved the cone from my previous dirt devil pool vacuum.

Bought it to replace a much more expensive gear driven pool cleaner that had failed. This thing works great. Works better and with less suction than my old cleaner and cost me less than $100 vs $300+ for my old unit. The plastic seems a little on the frail side so I don't think that it will take much abuse if your the kind of guy who just wants to throw it in a deck cabinet and put a bunch of junk on it, but with a little bit of care it seems like it should last at least a couple of years if not longer. I did not rate it 5 stars because I have only had it one year and don't now exactly how long it will last, but it work well and is a bargain at the price.

I have had a couple Barracuda G3 models which have lasted a many years, but I have always had to replace the overly expensive internal rubber diaphragms inside them pretty often $$$. I have a dedicated line for a cleaner which shares the suction with the skimmer line. I used to have to pretty much close off the skimmer completely for the Barracuda to even move..... HOWEVER, that is not the case with the Xtreme power cleaner!!! This vac has a LOT of suction as I just barely have to open the suction to it and it moves like crazy. The hoses do appear to be thinner than the others, but hey it works... and the price is so much less that I can not complain.

9 months after purchasing, all but 2 of the hoses are split. I expect them to go any day since all of the others split within the last couple of weeks. I know this is a bargain priced item, but regular pool hoses should last at least several years. (My previous ones were over 8 years old and still worked - in fact, I am now using them with this cleaner.)I would still buy the cleaner, but am VERY disappointed with the hoses. I contacted the company and they sent the following response:------------- Begin message -------------we never had a problem with this pool cleaner we can do one of two things it a 90day warranty OR we can offer you to buy the hose separate from us a set of 10 for$40.00let me know what you would like to do thanks--- Original message ---I don't plan on buying crappy hoses again, so I'm out of luck. Look for another cleaner.
