I bought the style labeled surfing and my hand size was on the edge of medium and large so I got the medium. They were too tight and cut off circulation so I returned and bought the large. Still very tight but at least not cutting off circulation. I should have tried the extra large but hate to return a second time. I have not yet tried them in the water.
