I really wanted to love this bowl. I bought it for a friend who’s particular about the materials she eats from, and I was looking for something food-safe, microwave-safe, and lightweight—unlike her heavier glass and ceramic dishes (she's having a harder time lifting those these days). At first, I was excited by how sturdy it felt. But when I did a simple pinch test, the silicone immediately turned white, which is a common sign of added fillers or plastic content. While that test isn’t conclusive, it’s concerning—especially for someone who avoids any questionable materials in microwave use. Unfortunately, I’ll be returning this and looking for a truly pure silicone alternative.

I just received it and am loving it already. I haven’t microwaved anything in it yet, but I will. The silicone and my favorite color is everything.

I love this container, though it didn't work for the purpose I had intended when I purchased it. I had wanted a container to place on a warmer, to warm water for my morning hygiene routine. The silicone is so temperature resistant, that my water never got warm enough to bother using it. So I had this really nice, quality bowl that didn't do what I needed. I put it in my lurch and decided to use it as food storage. The silicone is great! The food doesn't stain it. It is a great size for leftovers. And it's practically nonstick. I can put food in the freezer, the fridge, or in the microwave. And when I take it out after reheating, it doesn't burn my hands. It feels like it will lay many years. I have stopped using plastic and mostly have glass containers because they last longer and don't stain. I don't know if silicone is a greener material, but it is definitely one I won't have to replace or throw away any time soon.
