Strong magnet and well-designed pocket clip work great. It works best to slide chalk off rather than lift due to very strong magnet but that ensures chalk doesn't bump off during play. The plastic cube chalk holder works with the predator octagon chalk.

I have been playing in a couple of pool leagues for a little over a year now. I usually keep my chalk in my pocket, but that gets messy, so I decided to order these. The magnets are very strong. In fact, I like to never got the two magnets apart. What this tells me is that I will be able to use these holders on a variety of materials and not worry about them falling off. It also eliminates blue chalk stains in my pockets, so that is a plus.

Price is great but it's bulky, the chalk cover comes off the base when you grab it, and the hole is too small thus inhibiting access to the majority of the chalk during use. Had to glue the case together and drill out the chalk hole just to get the $7 out of it.
