I ordered this shirt & bowtie for a presentation my 11-year-old had to give, & it fit perfectly. I would say the description is true to size, & it is also very soft.

The shirts were supposed to come with a bow tie, they did not. Also they fit small. I ordered the 7/8 and 8/9 the 8/9 fit the same as the 7/8. Will have to return. The color and feeling of the shirt were nice.

This shirt is super cute, but I've been disappointed in the construction quality and did find it needed quirt a bit of ironing. The buttons keep falling off! The bow tie has a little string that attaches it with little snaps under the collar. This is both good and bad. Initially I was disappointed that I couldn't use it also with other dress shirts; I bought it thinking it was a traditional clip-on bow tie that could be used interchangeably with other shirts. Then I was pleased that it is held on sturdily and comfortably -- the child actually leaves it in place! On the past wear, however, I did notice that that cord has stretched out or something, because it sort of hangs forward now, which doesn't look nearly so nice. Since we've recently lost yet another button, it may be time for this shirt to find a new home in our donation bin, sadly.

I have been getting a few dressy pieces here and there for my son for pictures. I really love this shirt. Its a little on the thin side but he can wear a undershirt under it. I love that he can wear with jeans and sneakers or slacks and dressy shoes.
