The parts of this kit that are meant for the vehicle seem great. The jumper cable is robust and comes with its own case, the same for the tire repair kit. The safety hammer is fantastic and went straight into my glove box. Lastly, the air pump is compact and functional. The emergency vest is also a nice addition. My only negative for this is that the first-aid kit is really basic. It is missing more specialized or nice-to-have things like gloves, OTC medications (e.g., aspirin), burn cream, a cold pack, a thermal blanket, etc. I wouldn’t necessarily expect this kit to have all of this, but I think it is important to note that it might not have what you need in certain emergencies. Overall, I think this is a good kit for my car and a decent value, but I would consider getting a more complete first-aid kit rather than relying on the one that comes with this.

It's always good to be able to handle common emergencies when on the road. This set will do it.Covered here are several major categories. Personal safety. First Aid. Tire emergencies. Misc emergencies. I'll cover each in turn.Personal safety is provided via the gloves and reflective vest. The gloves are the very basic variety and likely I won't store or use them. The vest will provide extra visibility if someone is caught dealing with an emergency on the side of the road. Whether that means they make a better target for drunks is up in the air. Overall assessment this category is 3.First aid covers the basics. Provided are several items to more or less patch someone up for cuts or scrapes. While there are a variety of bandages, tape and a case provided something noticeably missing is a disinfectant like hydrogen peroxide. My assumption is if I need to patch someone up on the road I'd be quickly heading home (or to an Urgent Clinic) to put the polishing touches on any injury. Overall assessment this category is 4.Tire emergencies are covered with the pliers and plug kit in a nice leatherette case. Valve caps are thrown in as an extra bonus. A 12V tire compressor is also included. This is probably the nicest part of the kit and comes with plenty of plugs and decent tools. You might ask why the pliers? It's to help get out nails or other debris that may have cause the flat tire in the first place. I like that the compressor is a 12V cigarette lighter powered device. This should ensure it's always ready to use even if it's been in the trunk for 9 months. My only wish here is the compressor had a case - as supplied I'll be using the box. Note to the vendor - if they do provide a case I'd make it hold all the tire related supplies and not just the compressor. Overall assessment this category 5.Finally is the misc emergencies and there are 2 separate items. First the jumper cables which I really like - they feel solid are plenty long and come in a little plastic case - overall assessment here is 5. Then the window hammer which has an integrated harness cutter - this is packaged in with all the tire supplies which I think most people will put in the trunk - it would be nice if this came with some kind of a mount so it's kept under the steering wheel to provide immediate access in an emergency - overall assessment here is 4.My overall score for the whole enchilada is 4.
