Worked perfectly! You have to pull out the loose shaft and TAKE OUT THE SPRING! Go slow the retaining clips are plastic and they will break. EXTREMELY HAPPY!

I have an HP P2035n absolutely love the old thing! Nothing compares to it - I love how fast it prints multiple pages compared to other laser printers.It always works great. Until last week, when it wouldn't pick up the paper. It just kept making THAT noise it makes before the paper feeds from the tray. You know the noise. I couldn't figure out how to get it to work again. After extensive research I finally figured for the $7, I couldn't go wrong with making this purchase and trying to replace this part. (Especially since the product stated "Eligible for Return, Refund or Replacement).Oh, to my joy! It absolutely worked wonderfully. I struggled with trying to find on-line instructions or even an on-line video, so I winged it. It took me about half an hour.How to:Use tweezers. There is a small white tab on the left (see photos) that must be turned to a point where it releases the plastic spool assembly that the wheels sit on. Be gentle - It feels like it could easily break.Once this is rotated toward the back, the wheel assembly can be gently pushed to the left and the right side will release.The assembly can then be removed and the two end wheels and interior spring can be placed on to the new part.To reinsert - push assembly back in to the left and gently push to align and insert right side.Once you get it in you must turn the little tab back to the front facing position to hold the assembly in place.Good luck - I am a 60 year old with severe arthritis in my hands and was able to handle this, so you've got this, if I can do it.

I couldn't believe this literally took me three minutes to fix. My workhorse P2055dn is back up and running and ready for another 20 years worth of printing!

Just beware that this is only the roller itself.You need to remove all of the clips and the spring from the old roller.Generally, the roller itself wears down and all of the other parts are good.But if they are broken or get lost then you need to buy one of the roller kits.
