NIGHTMARE TO TAKE THEM APART!!!13 of them couldn’t be taken apart at all. The rest I had to use tape or scissors. These should come separated….

I purchased a pkg of 50 keychains. Yes, most of them come with both sides pressed together already, so what to do?I started with a needle and proceeded to add even more scratches than were already there, but then decided to use tape. I only had double-sided tape handy but it worked fine. Blue tack may also work, just choose something that won't leave residue behind. You don't need much; because there isn't any lint on the acrylic I only used a few pieces of tape. It didn't take me that long to separate them and there were only a few I couldn't open...I was a little more aggressive with these and they came apart too. Some also had a few scratches (that I didn't add), but once you got a picture in there they were barely noticeable (and you'd have to be searching for them). I recommend buying a few more than you actually need, if you can afford to do so.There IS a back and front to the insert piece. If you put them in backward, the curvature will touch the inside of the keychain part. You will be able to rock the insert back and forth, confirming it's backward. when inserted correctly, both sides fit snuggly together with a barely noticeable line where they meet (and you won't be able to get them apart easily). You may want to use an eyeglass cloth to buff the keychain before and after adding your picture, not only remove fingerprints, but to remove some of those "scratches" that came from the poor packaging. I don't recommend a wet cleaning wipe as you will then get water marks on the acrylic and you'd have to buff them anyway. Overall, these are a nice little round keychain. At least you know they won't come apart easily and potentially lose someone's precious picture!*The most frustrating part of the project is not with the acrylic keychain, but realizing the bead chain I purchased separately were too large to go through the tassel's head. I got 2.4mm, 4-in long chain, but the tassel's hole is just slightly smaller. If you watch the video about the keychains, it will show that the tassel is too small to move over 2 layer of the metal ring. I intend to put these around the handle of a tote bag, so will need new chains.I hope this review helps you find worth in this product and a little less stress in your project!

These look amazing when in use and are easy to assemble, but I do have a few qualms with them. The keychains are all individually wrapped, but the key ring itself is already attached, so almost every one of them came scratched. I think I may be able to buff some of them out, but it's a ton of plastic and money waste if I'm not going to be able to use them for my shop like I planned. As you can see in my photo, this keychain could not be used to send to customers with the completed design because it is so scratched and unable to be buffed. Sadly, may of them are like this. Having the metal pieces - or at least just the key rings, packed in a separate, single baggy would, I presume, dramatically reduce this issue.I knew the tassel colours when I purchased it, so this is just more of a suggestion since I purchased additional tassels from another seller, but having multiple sets of these with a wider selection of tassel colours would really be appealing!I was not shorted any tassels or keychains though, so that's good!

I bought these to make personalized keychains for our high school Color Guard. I printed a guard logo with their name and put it inside. I also added a charm to represent our Disney World trip this year. They loved it! It was difficult to open some, but using a thin pin or needle worked best to open those ones. The tassels are adorable!

When the keychains are already closed, wrap your fingers in packing tape and pull apart. They all opened for me that way
