Yarn ball winder, weaving ball winder for swifts with easy installation for yarn storage
How to use a ball winder?
1. clamp the ball winder onto table or other support with integrated clamp, clamp is controlled by turning the red knob.
2. set spindle into geared base by aligning notches. Hold the gear and turn the spindle clockwise to secure it.
3 Pull out the thread end and guide it through the thread guide.
4 Insert the thread end into the groove of the cone.
5. turn the handle to the right side. The thread begins to wrap around the cone.
6. turn the handle at a steady pace and not too fast so that the yarn does not get tangled.
7. when you are finished, pull the thread out of the cone.

if you dont get a big spool its great. for bigger yarn or spools, get a bigger capacity holder. otherwise its great and superr easy to use

Thsi is the most affordable and easy gadget I could ever ask for. I love it. It helps me roll my yarn up in balls so I dont have a ball of knotted up yarn everytime I use part of a skein. This is a keeper.

This machine is so easy to use and convenient! I love how uniform it makes the little yarn cakes( the ones in the pic look a little messy because my kittens got to them and I had to reroll them a little by hand lol). I also love the fact that it can attach to a surface to stay in place so you you dont have to any extra work. Definitely reccomend!!

The piece that holds the yarn arrived cracked, as you can see in two of the attached photos. It still wound a small skein without any issues, and I've only wound one other skein since then. It does make a fair bit of noise, which didn't bother me but I did hear complaints from my husband about it. I'll update the review after I wind some more balls, since one of the main complaints is that it stops working after a few balls.

This is a very useful device. Not only does it make the yarn easier to use, it compacts the volume reducing storage space.

So easy to use winds neat little balls. But balls can't be much larger than this. Holds fast to my desk, was easy to assemble and operate. Make sure you find the lock spot on your winder or you will get tangled in the gears. Love it!!

Best for half skeins about 200 yards medium weight. Bulky yarn will be less. Yarn gets stuck around gears an will break/fray yarn. Complete headache if stuck around gears. Not really worth it since it will NOT wind/fit full skeins. Yarn I did wind ended up with several knots which I had to unravel in the middle of projects.

I took a star away because you can tell it won't last since the plastic gears are already grinding a little. It also doesn't hold super-well on a table with a little curve on the edge, but it is workable and great for the price.The good stuff: It makes great yarn balls!!!! You can put a whole super-saver on this thing!! It makes nice cake-style balls which I love because they stack, have an inner and outer end to use, and get less floppy with yarn usage.The pom-pom makers are also perfect.
