This flying toy is really sturdy. We crashed it so many times, and it keeps on flying. Looks just like a bird. All the kids in the park gathered around to look. Comes with a second battery. But even one lasts us long enough.

I bought this flying eagle to show off to my boys George, Alexander, Benjamin, Thomas, and John. At first they were impressed with my freedom flyer, but it's flying characteristics were that of an airborne porpoise.Idle power is still too high once it is flying as even a slight breeze or draft will prevent the eagle from landing. The only real way to land is just going to idle and cranking into a wide spiral until terrain impact. After 2 successful sorties, the 3rd flight was a Freedom Flight. I made the mistake of going full power briefly and the eagle really climbed. However upon pulling back to idle, the eagle continued to climb. Directional controls still worked, but the power command seemed to have no effect. Up, up it went with no altitude loss in sight. Over the treeline it soared. It must have caught a glimpse of freedom as it took off toward the sun. Away it flew soaring higher and into the sunset. All we could do was watch until this magnificent eagle flew out of sight. The eagle wanted it's freedom, and who am I to deny it.Apparently this is no cut to the electrical power when the eagle goes out of range. Instead it just remembers the last command and keeps on going. Super, super easy for this to fly away on you and be lost forever, even during its inaugural flight. Don't buy this eagle if you want it to be reused.

Got this for my daughter so she could fly while her big brother flies his planes. She’s 8 and is able to navigate flying it with ease. Battery doesn’t last super long but it charges back up within an hour. Very happy with our purchase.

It was fun while it lasted. It was easy to fly and flew very well. I was flying it in a large, open area. I lost control of it when it went out of range. All I could do was say goodbye to it as it soared over the treetops and faded away into the distance. I really don't expect it to return in the Spring. When the bird loses contact with the controller, it should automatically turn off the motors and emit an audible beep every five seconds or so. I bought another one, and now that I have a little better feel for its range, I hope I don't lose this one so soon.

So I've ordered 3 of theses type of planes, the red glider that happens to be really good and usable for kids, the Russian fighter jet that does not glide well making really hard for a 6 y old to fly and this one. This one is not only fun to look at but also really easy! It glides it does not crash, it's almost unbreakable! With the two batteries we can almost play 1h! You don't have to use the full power to keep it flying!Really nice buy!
