My 4 year old has really been having a great time with this set - and even his two year old brother can join in with the truck!Overall, it gets the job done! The excavator is fun to play around with, and can pick up rocks to put in the truck. The two buttons on the front of the remote do the same thing, which isn’t all that helpful. If those two buttons did the opposite of each other for the bucket control, that would make this a 5 star.Either way, great little set for the kids!

Product arrived in a timely manner & well packaged (see image). Got this remote controlled excavator & dump truck for my neighbor kids - they were extremely happy with the toys! the remote was easy to use for a 2 & 4 year old. The remote only works for the excavator - which works with moving the excavator (front back) and picking up rocks (or the plastic rocks that comes with the set). The dump truck does not move with the remote, but has a button for noise. Again, definitely kid approved!

These trucks were my godson’s favorite Christmas gift! The pull-back dump truck and remote-control excavator kept him entertained for hours. The lights and sounds add a fun touch, and the controls are easy enough for young kids to use. A great set for any little construction fan!

Not sure who plays with these more, my son or my hubby!This set is really amazing, the movement options are so fun for a range of play that they can navigate across the room and have the bucket pick up something and then bring it back to drop it in the back of a truck from the couch. The remote is responsive and easy to learn to maneuver.When the excavator first turned on, the sounds and the movements brought smiles to everyone, there was instant commotion from everyone trying to give their stories about the toys they had and what sort of configurations for the courses. There are so many nights with my son sleeping my husband will get up from bed to play with them. The fun part really comes with the maneuverability and power that these have with the build of this quality. I hope these will be able to last years. The battery life so far is good, this is still going off the first set, and I don’t know how many hours and hours of usage this has.

This is one of those toys that makes you wish you were five years old again. The excavator works great and can actually pick up the rocks and place them in the truck, with a little practice. The dump truck is excellently built and the inertia movement is very good. I expect this toy to be well loved for many years.

First I want to say I'm upset that the dump truck wasn't also rc, and when trying to use it as it's intended the springs kept popping up and just was a chore to use and was quickly put back in the box. As far as the excavator goes, unlike my last experience with a mini dozer this has performed wonderfully. It's survived 2 batteries back to back, and powered on the next day no problem. I opened it up and found the construction allows for adequate airflow to the motors to prevent them from overheating from continuous use.
