Good quality tape, easy to use. It's used the same as teflon tape but this is thicker tape that seals better. It's stretchable to a limit & functions much better for threads or whatever is needing sealed. It's not sticky, it will hold onto itself when wrapping but it's not meant to be sticky. I recommend this tape. I could immediately feel the quality when I first checked it out. Good deal.

This teflon tape is recommended to seal black iron pipe threaded connections. Black iron pipes are used for low pressure natural gas lines and for connections to low pressure boilers for baseboard heating systems. The yellow tape is probably 2-3 times thicker than white PTFE tape commonly used in plumbing. I prefer to use yellow tape even on copper / brass threaded connections as it is much easier to wrap around threads than thin white tape. It also seals better as it is rated up to liquid propane pressure which is around twice that you have in water pipes.

Nothing bad to say about the product, as it conformed to the pipe threads nicely without fraying annoyingly or requiring excessive loops of material to make up a decent thickness. All joints leak tested perfectly when installing our new LP gas-fed heating and cooking setup in our house and kitchen. Recommended.

My husband needed thread sealant for running some gas lines. Wasn’t sure how much we would need, so we got this bulk set. It was cheaper to buy bulk anyway. He said it seemed to be a descent thickness, sealed well, and was easy to use. It made a quality job and performed well. Very pleased. We also have plenty for future jobs.

This is a lot of tape with this value deal!Tip: no need to tape the first couple of threads because it can tend to bunch up and get inside where it could impede the flow. Plus, often there is a tapered edge there for seating purposes and you wouldn’t want the tape to get in the way of that either. Just start the sealant tape two threads back from the end and you are golden!

These rolls of teflon tape are thicker than many, allowing you to only need a couple layers (rather than 3-4). Just note that tape like this should only be used on NPT (National Pipe Thread) joints where the threads are the sealing surface. I see many putting it on flare joints, bite fittings, and garden hose connections (where a rubber seal makes the water "sealing" surface) and tape does nothing in those (except perhaps mess up the sealing surface if it gets on the flare or such). So only use it on NPT threads where it does some good (and don't forget to wrap it on the outside threads in a way so it doesn't get peeled off as you screw on the mating thread).

I have used a lot of Teflon tape over the years, and I can confidently say that this is a high-quality product. I've used a lot of Teflon tape over the years, and I can say this is very high quality Teflon tape. I always use this yellow tape mostly for compressed air lines, I find it works much better than the thin white Teflon tape. This is nice and thick and has a little bit of stretch to it so you can get it firmly wrapped onto the threads, and it's easy to tear off when you have enough. I found it easy to apply and very effective in use, with no air leaks at all.If you are going to use a lot of it, then this is a really good deal, costing less than half of what it would cost buying individual rolls at a home improvement store.
