The old ramp we had was not friendly--it was solid, heavy, and big. This one folds up--so it can actually fit in the car with the dogs who need it. It is long (just under 6 feet) so it isn't too steep. I wouldn't say it's light, but I don't think it's any heavier than it needs to be. I wouldn't say it's cheap, but I would say it is worth it.

This ramp does work really well and the dog used it. But it is heavy and really awkward to handle. One big issue is when you fold it back up it is a serious “finger pincher”.I gave this to my sister for her senior dog. She used it a few times but it’s so awkward to handle and she kept getting her fingers pinched when she was putting it away. So now it’s just sitting in the garage.

My dog had back surgery a few years back and since then I am very careful about him jumping especially in and out of cars. I have to pick him up each time to put him in the car or take him out. he does not like being picked up so that is always fun. This ramp has helped a lot so that I don't have to pick him up when putting him in a vehicle anymore. it is very sturdy if not a bit heavy so keep that in mind. He loves it and immediately took to it. Keep in mind it does take up quite a bit of room when its unfolded so I have to use it in the driveway not the garage but all in all I love it!

This is a must have item to transport your furry friends. It is quite sturdy and stable for when your pet is walking the plank. The width is perfect where you don't have to worry about your dog falling off. I have several dogs and several vehicles, so this is ideal to leave in the SUV for outings with my pup. It folds up into a compact square for storage in the back of the SUV that unfolds easily for a good length when it isa in use. It is groove like padded so your dog gets a good grip when getting into the vehicle. It is the perfect solution for getting larger dog into the vehicle that mat not want to jump up.I am very pleased with these dog stairs as is my pup. She understood the idea and with a little coaching and a lead leash she climbed right in. Recommended for dog lovers who want to take their pet with them without the hassle of lifting or waiting forever for your pet to jump up. Highly recommended and my dog gives it five barks!
