This extendable flagpole works very well. If you scrutinize the reviews, you will realize that this is an upgrade that has made a great difference. I use it for an outdoor gmrs antenna. It makes it very nice to be able to lower it in the event I need to do maintenance or want to move the pole to a new position outside the house. I highly recommend this for that purpose. I believe it would fly a lightweight flag, however living in a windy area I doubt that I would use it for a heavy cotton, embroidered flag.

We've had this flagpole up for a couple years now. It's easy to use with the telescopic feature. The only drawback is that it's so lightweight that in high winds, it might bend. That was easily fixed by placing it in a concrete "footing" and reinforcing it with a steel bar in the bottom section. If high winds are predicted, we can lower it a section and it hold up fine. I'd recommend it if you're willing to do a little modification. We're thankful we can fly our American flag!

I bought the 20ft with thumb locks. I wanted to be able to lower it quickly and have the ability to adjust to just the right height. We set the sleeve in quick cement slightly off level after it dried that was on us. I'm not overly bothered and it doesn't effect the pole. It's good quality. It comes with a Allen key to tighten the thumb locks if they loosen. I tighten before hand. Slides nice. Thumb locks are easy to use. The flag isn't the best we upgraded that but still fine to use.

I bought this as a TV antenna mast, not a flag pole. It arrived very nicely packaged for protection. It appears to be high quality. It telescopes smoothly and the latches lock it securely, after adjusting the screws.I was planning to just buy a 20' pipe since actual TV masts and other flag poles are way too expensive. This one was cheap enough that I took a chance and I'm very happy that I did!I went to Home Depot for concrete but let the worker there talk me into using expandable foam instead. That worked but isn't as secure as concrete would be. If I were doing it again, I'd use concrete.

The flag pole is an admirable reflection to honor our country's sovereignty and flying the flag in front of your home is an excellent way to demonstrate your patriotism. I assembled the pole without any problems. When it came time to replace the tattered, sun-damaged flag, taking it apart was a different story. The individual "pipes" were connected with a plastic ring which wouldn't budge after following the instructions to twist. I squirted "WD-40" and "Blaster" to try to separate the pipes which appeared to be "welded" together tightly. I messaged the seller and was sent directions on how to separate by "twisting" the ring between the pipes, but still it wouldn't budge. I used vice grips and still no budge. I am moving and wanted to take my flagpole with me. I now have a 20' flagpole laying on it's side in my patio. I may start cutting the pieces with my hacksaw and screwing in the pipes to reattach when I arrive at my new home. I like products that are supposed to work. I shouldn't have to saw the pipes apart. Keep this in mind when purchasing this flagpole to disassemble to move or replace your flag. Other than this problem the American flag flying in front of my house adds curb appeal. God Bless America!

This is my second pole. First one broke in the remnants of Hurricane Ida. Remnants. Why didn't I bring the flag down you ask? The entire pole was seized in place. I could not get the damn thing down the day before.Ok fine.... pole broke in half. I promptly ordered a second pole. Just like the first, it was fine to begin with. After a month, damn thing is seized in place. I cannot lower or change the flags. I am so pissed.Learned my lesson. I will be going with a hurricane rated flag pole that has a very long warranty (most are at least 10 years, some are 20). You get what you pay for.

Flagpole looked good and was easy to install. But after having it up for a month and a half it has came loose and lowered itself 5 times and in doing this rubbed the aluminum finish off the pole in 3 spots. And in a moderate wind yesterday it blew over. One of the sections separated from the mechanism inside, bent the lip and pulled apart the spot that was crimped together.
