This is a bottom tap and is only good to bottom out a blind hole after a plug tap has been previously run into it. Other wise it is impossible to start or pull a full thread in the drilled hole. DON'T buy this unless you have already run a plug to the bottom even a hole tapped with a taper tap would be very difficult to pull this tap thru.
