I've purchased a number of Yolink products and have been satisfied with all of them. They work terrific and in light of that the are fairly priced.More important is their customer service. One of my pool remote thermometers slowly began getting moisture inside. I was a disappointed to see this. At the same time I get an email from them, proactively saying they noticed an issue, and here is the fix. In my case it was severe and they went further and promptly send me out a replacement. You can ask for better than that. Thank you.

Installed the IOS app. Installed the hub. Installed the sensor. Now I know when someone opens/closes my mailbox that is at the end of a 500 foot winding driveway on the side of the highway and blocked from view by a forest. The whole process took less than 10 minutes. (Tip: don't drop the little screws in the gravel on the side of the road).

One gate contact goes offline occasionally for no apparent reason. Otherwise the system works great.

This was my first foray into Yolink devices. We have a driveway gate that is not visible from the house and that sometimes gets stuck in the open position. This sensor was easy to install with zip ties and works flawlessly. We programmed it to announce, via the speaker hub, whenever the gate is being opened or closed, and, most importantly, if the gate doesn't close automatically within 2 minutes of opening, the hub announces "Gate did not close properly". We can then troubleshoot the problem rather than inadvertently leaving the gate open all night. No more deer sneaking in to eat all the roses!

The YoLink sensors (i have quite a variety of them!) work incredibly well. These alert me instantly if anyone opens a gate to our back yard unexpectedly from either side of the house.My grievance with YoLink tech support (via Facebook) deals with their app's insistence upon enabling my phone's LOCATION in order to configure the hub to access my WiFi credentials. WTH?! That is entirely unnecessary for such a purpose, as well as an outright security risk. YoSmart does not need to know where my YoLink equipment is located, let alone where my WiFi router is located (now that they have the login credentials).When I asked their tech support on Facebook about why they require it, I got a truly lame excuse that many others require it. (Not that it is NECESSARY; only that it is a common practice.)YoSmart needs to eliminate that requirement for using their app, because the only benefit to having that requirement is data-mining to know where their customers (and WiFi & security system) are located.Where my equipment is located is truly none of their business. As such, my solution to use their app (instead of returning the equipment) was to use an elaborate iPhone location spoofer software package to tell the YoLink app that I was at another location 80 miles away. Anyone expecting to use my WiFi credentials or tweak my security system at that location wouldn't find anything to connect to. But I digress...Other than the YoLink app's insistence upon knowing precise geographic location, I give their equipment five stars and recommend them highly. I currently use their gate sensors, door sensors, leak detector, PIR motion detector, temperature/humidity sensors, and submersible water temperature sensor. All serve me well.Now, they just need to remove the app's location requirement.

This thing wad easy to install, activate and use. Love the overall automation app and how well integrated it all is. No regrets at all. Now, I've got their water sensors and I'll be getting the temperature gizmos soon.

Had a bit of trouble. Orbi router, ...can't turn off 5 ghz. Have an old dir-655, 2.4 ghz only, in my craft room, which worked. Mounted contact sensor with included tape, then screws. Substituted small bolt as screws stuck into box too far, and were sharp. Contact sensor seemed to be working fine until I mounted the transmitter unit on the side plastic mailbox. About 550 ft. from the center of the house. Just wouldn't work. Said good, 91 dbg signal. Yolink answered tech support with NO hold time. THIS IS AWESOME!!! Asked me to push link button, flashed green....not connected. Apparently a bit too far. Move speaker hub to front window, so about 400 ft, to other side of the street, can't hear it very well in there but alexa link to my main room will do the trick. Setup was not real intuitive. Took me awhile to find the right video... APP: have to go to 3 bar, top left... settings....Enable Alarm.. ON, Send app notification... ALL Send email...ALL Trigger Action...Speaker hub. AND SAVE!!! Alexa was easier to set up. My house is super automated, I'm handicapped and sometimes in a wheelchair. This will enable me to know when the mail has come without having to get on the mower, my "gas powered" conveyance, and go look. I WILL buy more Yolink devices to supplement my 70 smartthings devices. Customer service is top notch.

I purchased this equipment to replace a mailbox sensor from another vendor which didn't work reliably over a distance of approximately 100 feet. The only obstruction was one pane of glass. The YoLink sensor and hub mounted in the same locations work flawlessly and during testing connected over significantly longer distances, even with the hub located inside an interior equipment closet with no line of sight to the sensor.Setup was straight-forward using the YoLink app on my Android phone. The app provides local alerts through the speaker on the Hub. The app also includes links to "Third-Party Services" including Alexa, Google Assistant and IFTTT. I used the Alexa integration to configure my system so that when the mailbox is opened Alexa announces that "Mail has arrived". The Alexa integration also communicates with a TP-Link smart bulb in my kitchen which turns on to provide a visual indication when the mailbox has been opened. After I retrieve the mail, I can say "Alexa turn mailbox light off" and the alert light turns off.While I was setting up the system I posted a question on YoSmart's support web site about integrating the "Open Reminder" feature of the sensor with Alexa. I received a detailed response from Eric at YoSmart within less than a day. He suggested a solution that I had not considered which addressed my need. I had additional follow-up questions which he responded to within hours. Truly exceptional support!Based on my initial experience with the YoLink contact switches and SpeakerHub I plan to purchase additional YoLink devices to extend my home automation.
