Work just like any other slip on bobber but cheaper than in the stores. Great for a trout float for a pan fish float. Wouldn’t use for a large bait as they are not super buoyant but great for smaller lures/bait.

I picked up the 48 pack of these floats (strike indicators if you want to be a snobby fly fisherman) and I'm really impressed with the quality and assortment of colors and patterns. With these, I should be able to find the perfect float for just about any water condition. The colors are very bright and easy to pick up in flat lighting like you would experience on an overcast day. Having 48 of these will last a long time because they seem to be very robust.

We live along a river that tends to move fairly fast at certain times of the year and my husband has just begun trying his luck at fly fishing. He claims he doesn't need these but, for me, I'll need all the help I can get when I start fly fishing. I've watched videos trying to figure out how to fly fish on moving water but never would have thought of using a float until I watched more videos showing how they can be helpful in detecting when you got a bite. I haven't yet tried these but we'll see who will catch more - the one using the float or the one not. The colors are vibrant and should be easy to see. They are smaller than I expected but, then again, I don't know what I was expecting since I didn't think you used these things when fly fishing. There is a lot of chipped paint on several of them but I imagine that will happen anyways. I find that pliers are needed to get the stoppers out as I couldn't pull them out on quite a few of them. I don't think you can go wrong for the price as you get a lot of them and I don't think they'll be something you'll go thru fast unless, of course, the stopper doesn't get inserted back in properly when threading the line. I'm very interested in trying these out.

I love the color of these floats and that they're offered in different quantities. They are easy to attach, remove, and adjust – even our young grandsons can use them by themselves. We use these floats in our community lake and have only caught small trout that we toss back. These float bobbers make it much easier to tell when the fish bite. They are perfect for our needs.
