No moving parts, no plastic, just a large solid hook to set on the edge of a table or counter. If you use a cane or hate putting your purse or briefcase on the floor, this will solve your issue. This is not a little dainty folding purse holder. I think the full thickness hole at the top could allow a string to be looped through maybe to make sure it stays with your cane or whatever and not be forgotten. There is a slightly textured pad on the underside of the top which prevents slipping/sliding.Highly recommended.

It's advised not to set your purse on floors and tables out in public as there are lots of germs, etc. that are usually on them. This will keep your purse clean now.
