These are hit or miss. My previous one only lasted one year. I would expect to get 3 years out of a name brand battery.

This resuscitated my 2008 Yamaha Majesty 400. I think it's the battery that shipped with the bike OEM. Works and fits great.

I am very happy with the purchase it was exactly as ordered. It did take a week longer but these things happen. I followed the instructions and had it working the very same day! Also I save $100 over the local bike shop quote! 😊

These are great batteries I've owned many. The only reason my 9 year old factory one died was because at some point some unintelligent person (I can't use the simplified word apparently) plugged in my 1 year old battery tender meant to take care of my 8 year old battery... Backwards... So yeah it died. Either that or it was the girlfriend trying to get to the cabinet behind the quad that did it. At least that's what I tell everyone. ;-)

Few things, this is NOT a gel battery. It is a sealed liquid battery. Despite what your run-of-the-mill local auto parts store may tell you, this is the correct battery for previous gen R6 bikes. I've purchased this battery twice, once back in 2013 when I first bought my 2005 Yamaha R6 and again just a few weeks ago before selling the bike. Both batteries came in perfect condition. The instructions for battery activation are simple enough. Battery activation/assembly takes roughly 30 minutes + charging time. The first battery held up pretty well - my R6 had a slow electrical drain which caused the battery to eventually go flat (but not before a handful of recharges).Despite being a sealed battery, there are instructions online for reactivating by reopening the chamber and adding fluid. I have not performed this reactivation but it seems promising. Perform at your own risk.

UPDATE: Battery did not last a year. It is internally shorted so it is unable to charge at all. Sent an e-mail with no response from Yuasa. Absolute junk.Bought a TMS battery before this, it lasted a week so I replaced it with this one. Filled it, put cap on, no leaks. took about an hour to charge, if that. Fit my 2006 r6s perfectly, has plenty of power too.

I had to replace my stock battery after several years of stellar performance. I looked around a bit online and found various conflicting reports about what type of battery is best. In the end I decided to stick with the same brand as OEM since my original battery lasted so long. This battery arrived quickly thanks and was very easy to fill. The battery itself has barbs which then puncture the seal on the acid container, ensuring that you don't spill any while trying to fill and also eliminating the need for any type of funnel. Since the acid is then absorbed there is no risk of the battery leaking (though you still need to seal the battery to ensure that no foreign materials contaminate it), which is good because my battery mounts on its side. My bike cranks up very quickly, barely requiring me to tap the starter. All in all, I am very happy with this purchase.

I bought this battery to replace the same one I have in my 03 R6 which seemed to stop holding charge after 5+ years of use, I ordered this battery but before I received it I put the old one on a higher amp charge to see what would happen and it brought it back to life, I now use the new battery as a replacement for one in an old v-twin that ran through a big unsealed battery every 2 summers. It has plenty of cranking power and will last you a long time, couldn't be happier with this purchase.

Yuasa is a top quality motorcycle battery. I purchased this YT9B-BS for my Yamaha R6. The battery came very well wrapped and with the electrolyte fluid in a nice separate container. I simply poured the electrolyte fluid in the battery, charged it, and then installed it.My motorcycle battery lies on its side when installed. The battery fluid cover fits VERY tight and I have had no problem with the battery leaking.I am very happy with this battery and don't see any reason I would ever go to a different brand.
