These are pretty good, especially factoring in the price. The PU leather is a good mid weight and decent thickness. The 2 layers of the bonded material are like calfskin leather driving gloves in thickness. There is stretch and a desired "fitted" look for the most part of the shorts- slightly less conforming than compression/ bike shorts. The cutting and sewing is excellent overall and done much in the manner of authentic leather goods. The snap and zipper are OK, but not the best. The metal feels thin on the button snap and the zipper action could use a good greasing. My main issue is the waist- the scrunched elastic detracts from the overall fitted look/ impact and honestly feels a bit like plastic baby diaper covers. I feel this way about gathered leather waists on shorts/ pants in general, but the slight rubber/ creakiness as you move with PU exacerbates the feeling of venturing near ABG territory for me. Maybe a belt would help. These are a fun and cheap pair of shorts that are made decently. I don't know that I would wear them often, but I am interested in how they wear with age- with the PU leather conform/ shape to my body or will the PU coating wear itself off? The PU feels similar to thickness of a shirt that I have that has lasted a year, more similar than the cheap/ thin PU coating on some underwear that disappears after a couple of (hand) washing- the kind that just dissolves from air exposure, LOL.These were hand washed and came out fine, dried inside out and took about a day to dry, especially the pocket areas.
