ONLY 3 STEPS
Step 1, set high temperature
- Power-on the controller
- Press and hold the "setting button" for more than 3 seconds, the high temperature setting will be enabled.
- Press the 'increase button' or 'decrease button' to adjust the high temperature value.
Step 2, set low temperature
- Press and hold the "setting button" for more than 3 seconds, the low temperature setting will be enabled.
- Press the 'increase button' or 'decrease button' to adjust the low temperature value
Step 3, activate the setting
- After completing the low temperature setting, press and hold the "setting button" for more than 3 seconds to activate the setting.
- Long press the "Settings button", the function will cycle between "High temperature setting", "Low temperature setting", and "Activation setting".

The product has an accurate current temp function. Also the product does obey the low and high parameters but I am not receiving an alarm when it goes below the low parameter for the heat plug in.

Everyone that owns fish should get one of these. I love all my pets (including fish). If you own a fish tank you must take responsibility and care for it? This device is basically a watchdog over your fish tank heater. It controls the circuit your heater plugs into and will shut the heater down should the heater "fail" in the stuck on position. That is what is most important as I have learned from experience and yes, ALL heaters will eventually fail, new or old. Very pleased with the technology of this device. A+ my friend!

I'm just getting into homebrew so don't have a lot to compare to, but this little unit works pretty good the few times I've used it for fermentation. At this point if it broke I would buy again. Worth the money. Seems really solid though.
