Great item, but like other reviews mentioned, the lid is indeed really tight. The trick is not to pry it open, but to twist it open, it works even better if you use a pair of rubber gloves to enhance the friction.

The rosin arrived in a tin storage case that had the lid pressed, I think by machine, so firmly on that it could only be removed with pliers. I sent it back and got another one with the exact same problem and exact same fit. I think their machine that puts the lid on the tin storage container needs a serious adjustment. The container is nicely decorated......Anyway Hard to say what rating that makes it all worth.The Rosin itself is excellent, perfectly sticky, works very very well. Produces a very nice sound. It is quite pricey, but worth it. I just wish they would redo their packaging. Some might argue to put it in another container, but isn't that the point? Pride of brand, nice looking, etc. Maybe some of you won't care about all that. Then it would be a 5 star to you.
