DO NOT LISTEN TO THE OTHER REVIEWS. READ THE DESCRIPTION AND THEN REREAD IT AGAIN. Now that that is out of the way. I bought this terrified it was going to be terrible because of the reviews. So many people can't read. The amount of nutcrackers is in the title and description. Worked out great for our small Christmas party. The quality is great. I love these ones because they even come with beards. The paint and brushes were just a bonus. We used our own and had these for extras. We did use some of the paint and it was not bad at all. Just have to be a little more creative with the colors.

These are super cute for staff holiday activity while everyone is either talking or networking . We had a table with these small nutcrackers and everyone loved that they were a good size to paint and they dried quickly, and it was just a good take away

The nutcracker are a nice size, well made, and have been fun to paint! I haven't finished painting them and already have requests for them!

I noticed one review was negative, because there were only 12, not 38 ornaments. If you read the “fine print” in the description, it states: “Generous Package Inclusion: the package includes 12 nutcracker figures, 12 paint brushes, 2 paint strips, and 12 white beards”. It's funny that the 38 includes “2 paint strips”, since those are composed of 12 small plastic “pots” of paint (2 each of 6 colors), which could have made this a total of 48 pieces, if those were counted individually!My reason for only giving this 4 stars has nothing to do with the number of pieces. I was very disappointed that there are no instructions and/or color guides as to how to paint the nutcrackers. When they say, “use your imagination” they are not kidding. I have no idea how anyone, especially children, would be able to paint intricate designs without some help. This set would really benefit from some stickers for buttons or accents on the hats. I’m also not convinced that the paint brushes will allow for much detail or that there is enough paint to finish all 12 ornaments.The price on this item seems a bit high, although the wooden ornaments themselves seem nicely made.Definitely do not bother getting the larger, 57 piece set, which shows 20 ornaments in the picture, but the description clearly states 18.

We had so much fun with this set of 12 paintable nutcrackers. The set comes with everything you need, paint, brushes and the beards. We purchased some extra odds and ends to add to ours. They don't have to be Christmas themed and my kids loved doing other themes. They are well made wooden nutcrackers, typical quality. They are sturdy but like any nutcracker you would want to handle with care. They are a good size for kids to paint. It kept them occupied for hours. The price seems fair for all that you get.

Ordered this for my child’s class Christmas party- advertised as 38 sold , arrived with 12. Would not send me the extras that were missing

This was delivered without paint brushes. It won’t let me select the option to have it replaced with the exact same item. So now I have to replace the whole thing and re-purchase it or go out and buy paint brushes.
