My adult son just got an arm sling shot to broaden his “hunting” skills (aka target in the back yard) and was using the only shot he could find, which is glass like marbles or steel balls. Problem is, he’s shooting against my back fence ! It’s loud enough when he misses that I’m worried it will bother the neighbors, it’s hard enough if he misses & hits a pet (or a person) it would REALLY hurt AND the ricochets land in our garden …. So I got on here & researched biodegradable. I REALLY like this !!! It makes a soft little thump if he misses, it breaks apart easily on impact and disappears right into the dirt when watered. Voilá all problems solved ! (he can get out there and practice/blow off tension after work etc anytime he wants to, no matter the time, no neighbors hear it & he’s getting much better ;)

I bought my 8 year old granddaughter a sling shot and this ammo. I had them packaged together and when she opened the box and saw the ammo, she asked if they were chocolate milk balls. We got a really good laugh at that. I loves shooting her slingshot and her dad's old bb gun. Accuracy, who cares. She has lots of fun and that's all that matters. Just a side note, be safe and wear either safety glasses or safety goggles. No wear, no shoot!! Oh, yes, you are going to get some broken ones. Hey, they are made of clay or some other similar product. Enjoy!

The other clay balls I’ve purchased had a strong moldy smell. These have a very slight wax smell that isn’t objectionable. They are about as uniform as the clay balls from other manufacturers. I shot several at my favorite target at 10-15 meters with good accuracy. Of course these are for practice target work. For more serious accuracy use glass or steel balls. They are shiny and seem to be quite hard also. They may have cost a little more than some other products but are well worth it.

the earth balls are a good value. But they are not round everywhere and have minor defects. But to shoot at a cinderblock wall for practice, they are a great value. They shatter well into small pieces of clay that are compatible with your garden and grass.
