They work great for about 2 years but after that become very brittle and you must replace.

I need to section off pasture so horses can graze different areas to prevent overgrazing and destroying the bermuda grass. Its pretty easy to pop them out of the ground and relocate them.

These posts are surprisingly sturdy. We have used them for several months and moved them as we’ve moved our calves and none have broken yet.

Many reviewers use this fence post for purposes other than what it was designed for: electric fencing. I use it with a two-wire system to keep sheep and alpaca in a pasture (and keep our dogs out). The poles are easy to insert (and remove) from the ground- are pretty sturdy (but bendable). The goal is really not high sturdiness for an electric fence post. Several post clips allow adjustment of your wire/tape height. It's easy to detach the wire and move it to a different clip when necessary.I have occasionally used these poles to construct a temporary fence using plastic safety fencing. Not too difficult to build- but removing the fence from the clips can be tedious. In addition, our relatively small alpaca tested the fence to get to some vegetation and easily pushed it over, and broke some of the posts. Other than as a temporary solution, I can't generally recommend these for non-electric fence purposes.

The other 10 inches of the post are underground. I needed 3.5 foot posts and I didn't carefully read the feedback. My Bad for misunderstanding that they were counting the underground stakes as part of the overall height. The intro should have tipped me off "Zareba A-48B 4-Inch Step-In Fence Post - Electric Fence System Post - 50 Posts" As there is nothing 4-inch in the overall equation, since the stakes are 10 inches long and the posts are 38 inches above the ground. The stakes themselves are very flexible, and if the wires at the corners are pulled too tight, the posts will bow inwards. Aside from these factors, the posts are fully functional and I ended up using them for a different project that didn't need the extra height.

I used these with Tenax fencing and got a 4' fence around 4 acres in just a couple days! Not the most sturdy in soft sand, but it's working when paired with some support trees.

I don't write many reviews but this is a really good product. I expected to use these along with steel posts but I only used steel posts in corners and these posts 10' on center for 120' runs with great results. I will go back and add aircraft cable to the top of the fence for strength but a chicken wire fence is standing proud to hoards of fearsome rabbits anxious for a meal just as it is.The fence is much easier to install than typical steel posts for temporary fences. The wire slaps into place and is easily removed when necessary.

Works great with snow fence to keep wildlife out of the garden and the dogs out of the mud in Spring thaw.

They work like they're supposed to. Easy to step into the ground, good spacing to allow for whichever wire height you could want. Works with black and yellow wire and inch wide horse tape.

I used releasable fasteners to secure 4’ Trident fencing to these step-in posts to create a temporary dog pen that was sizable enough to allow the dogs to run, but temporary enough to not violate our HOA rules. I can put this up and take it down in minutes thanks to the step-in feature. The key for me is the step-in spike built into the posts bottom. They are long enough to hold the post securely and temporary enough to pull right out. Is it perfect for everyone? Probably not. The corner posts were bending so I’m glad I ordered more posts than I thought I needed so I could add posts where necessary. So far, they have been perfect to keep our 75lb & 60lb dogs contained and safe.
