Made of cold cast resin, this mysterious mollusk wears an early 20th Century diving helmet, and his menacing eye peers out from the domes front visor. In 4 of his 8 legs, he holds copper colored pots for holding taper candles. He has a metallic bronze finish, with hand painted copper colored accents. He measures 11 1/2 inches long, 9 1/2 inches deep and 6 1/2 inches tall. He is felted on the bottom to keep your furniture scratch free. Resin is great. The eye looks a little funky and I’m struggling to find skinny enough candles. Great decor piece otherwise

We use this a centerpiece on our dining room table, in our mostly shore-themed home. Love it! Item arrived quickly and well-packaged... I was a little worried of shipping damage because it's such a unique shape, but the seller does an awesome job of securing the item in a custom cut styrofoam box. It's definitely more burnt orange-y copper colored than in the online pic, when I was expecting a dark brown copper. But my wife and I like the look.

Mine is far more copper colored, rather than the nice antique brown ad photos. The one in ad pic looks better than mine. It's okay, looks worth more like eighty, not the one thirty I paid. Very nicely packaged in Styrofoam. Glass eye (mask) is kind of squinting.

Absolutely gorgeous! Very hefty and no defects at all. Perfectly packaged and arrived exactly on time. The detail on this piece is amazing. It will last a coupla of lifetimes if cared for properly. I put red candles of different lengths and it highlights my steampunk motif in my living room. I hate cheap stuff and this puppy is not cheap in construction or appearance. It is absolutely gorgeous. I put four red taper candles in it, different lengths, and it looks fabulous. If you're into Victoriana or steampunk or just cool looking well made stuff; open you're wallet because this is gonna make you happy. Also, the faceplate on the helmet is glass, not plastic. Very nice in my bookcase. Love, Vic.
