This is a game changer for me, I have a converted e-bike mtb with rear pannier rack, I was getting mud all over me & my pannier bag due to the difficulty of not being able to fit a mudguard because of the rack, I scoured the Internet to find something that would fit the only other two options were pannier racks with fitted mudguards £100+!This has solved that problem & is very good quality too. It was for me very fiddly to fit I couldn't be bothered to take everything off the back so just mounted the brackets first it was still difficult but definitely worth the hassle. I only ordered one to see if it would fit the front first too as I thought it might not because of my mid mount motor but it fits with plenty of clearance so I've ordered a second! Highly recommended this mudguard 👌

Package was never delivered, contacted seller who sent it back out right away. Received it right away. Then I had a couple glasses of scotch and got to installing. It's not exactly putting together ikea furniture, but I'm sure if you read the instructions, you'll get it (or stay sober).Cool feature: the tail of the fender can move to the front, customizing where you want the most protection. While assembling this and contemplating life and what I would write for this review, I thought this would be a five star piece, but I worried cinching this would clamp down on the brake cable. Check out pic #2... there's a DUCT for the housing to pass through.I'll update if this falls off or breaks, but this was exactly what I was looking for. Sturdy, plenty of coverage, what else do you want from a mud flap. (Last pic is the old one, not enough coverage, this is night and day).

Great product, well made, and durable. The type of plastic that is used for this guard will last a long time considering how it's used and maintained. The mechanical assembly of the mudguard is different compared to many bike products that casual, mtb, and road bikers may be used to, but it's designed to be no more than a three step process that works and is secure. This mudguard works very well for both the front and rear wheel, but looks great on the rear wheel. I use this for my mountain bike and it does guard against any type of water, mud, or debris that I may encounter. (I would use this mudguard on a green, blue, or black trail.)

A few weeks after installing my fender, it snapped off completely after hitting a small bump while I was commuting to work. I had installed both the rear and front fenders in the same manner. The rear fender is still going strong, so the problem wasn't an issue with improper install. I'm disappointed in the build and quality control of this item. Furthermore, I contacted the seller (Bargain Peddler) with this issue, and they refused to help -- instead instructing me to contact Zefal directly. I contacted Zefal, and they informed me that "This is not one of the models (they) carry or have replacement parts for. They in turn instructed me to contact J+B Importers (?!). Needless to say, I'm extremely unhappy with the both the seller and producer's poor customer service.

Versitial but did take a few attempts to get adjustable attachment straps to fit snug. Looks cool. I hope they hold up.

I like how the guard attatches. It gives me confidence it's not going anywhere. I haven't used it on the trails yet, but it worked great around town. It can be adjusted to a decent range of coverage on the tire, and thats nice. My only complaint is that it could be a bit wider. It's just wide enough to cover my stock 2.25 tires, but I'd like it to be a little wider. Good product though.

The instructions are a little terse, but then again, I don't see how I'd do it better. The other disadvantage is that the zefal fins is kind of narrow towards the end - so isn't too great at stopping all debris. Kind of short for a 26" tire too. I'm guessing this thing is better for smaller tires in the rear. Something like a 22".I will say that I am pleased overall though, it is well built, and unlike post mounted mud guards, you don't have to worry as much about kicking your leg and breaking it or hurting your leg when you're trying to mount or dismount your bike.UPDATE: The rear zefal fender broke after doing a drop curve jump. The problem is that on a full suspension bike, the ends are not really held together except by the tire rod. This means if you land hard on the rear tire, it can create torque/vibration which can, if the zefal is place near enough the rear, cause it to break somewhere. The zefal unit also increases wind drag on my bike (my experience). If you are looking for speed, then this is probably not your mudguard. I cannot recommend this for serious full suspension bike riders. Casual riders, maybe. If you have a hardtail then it might be okay. Coverage is still only 90-95% on a 26" tire bike. You will get a little dirt on your back. Some people want 99% at least, which maybe you can get with other designs. I probably won't be ordering this again as a rear mudguard. As front mudguard though it has performed adequately. Again, it only gets rid of about 90% of the mud. There is still some stuff that will come up and hit the underside of your bike. I'll give it 3 stars instead of 4. It does look good. Perhaps if they made the design a little bigger so that it covers more acreage, then I'd give it 4 stars.I still don't know of a good rear solution for full suspension bikes though. Seat post attached mudguards tend to get hit a lot with the back tire with a full suspension and wind up in the up position. Not to mention that your leg sometimes hits the rear mudguard if is mounted too high, possibly damaging it. Perhaps I'll try a mudhugger next even though it is expensive.

Had a good trail ride yesterday, Very muddy day.The fenders did better than any other ive seen, but my legs still get a little muddy, but that's normal. They are pretty thick (4MM) and seem sturdy. They arent going to break when you knock them with your foot like most of the brittle ones you can buy.Plus they also look cool; low and out of the way.My girlfriend liked them so much on my bike that we are getting a set for her.
